"While not a fencer myself, my friend is, and I really enjoy spectating. There is a seating area with a clear view of the strips, allowing friends and family to be here without distracting the athletes. I always feel so welcome here, and it is a privilege to watch the amazing coaches work with fencers of all skill levels!"
"Great fencing club! Gets fencers to National and international competitions. Most go on to fence at top universities in NCAA. Overall wonderful club for sabre, foil, or epee. Went here as a fencer myself and now I bring my kids!"
"I love to train at LAIFC. The coaches here are really nice and they work with us diligently to help us develop & reach for success. The fellow fencers are kind & a pleasure to fence with, and we support & cheer for each other as a family. Would definitely recommend training here."
"I love LAIFC. The coaches are focused and professional, and the fencers are all highly motivated and respectful. On a typical day you'll see fencers just picking up a blade for the first time practicing next to National Champions and Olympians. I'm extremely grateful to fence at such a friendly and excellent gym."
"We like success rather than just "show", and progress rather than just "promotion". We like Misha and Brennan. And we like three weapon clubs for lots of reasons. Here is a 12 year old practicing at LAIFC with Nick Itkin--doesn't get any better than that. update 3 December 2019 and March 2021 (now 14). Must be doing something right. The medals are pouring in from competitions all over the country. He was nowhere when he started at LAIFC on August 13 2019and four months later he is second in Region 4 Y12 (California, Colorado, Utah and Arizona) The relationship between veterans and coaches and youth here really motivates the youth and is unique in SoCal. All clubs have coaches but none in SoCal other than this one has all these old fencers mentoring and motivating the young fencers. Stop in any Saturday morning, and many nights, and see the show. The competitive ambiance is unique here although not unusual in some big US three weapon east coast clubs, and there is one three weapon club in northern California which has figured out what counts also."
