Posh Paws Grooming Salon & Daycare

"I don’t want to give just 1 star because we have been coming here for over a year and have nothing but positive experience, but after this last visit we will NOT be returning. It seems something has changed and the environment is not what it once was. A couple days ago we took both of our dogs and one just needed to be bathed and usually finishes up sooner than the dog that needs the grooming (this is normally not an issue) but this time they took over an hour longer than usual and I called to checkin on my animals and they said they needed just a bit more time. (They did not mention any of the following when I called to check in on them). Upon our arrival to pick up our dogs we saw one of our dogs in the little cubicles they have available, but we didn’t see our other dog. We asked where our other dog was and they said they had put her back in a cage because she was jumping out of the cubicles. We are not cage people at all, and posh paws advertises that they are a CAGE LESS groomer! (Our dogs are treated basically as children and we do NOT put them in cages). It had been about 10 min and they still hadn’t brought our other dog up to us and i was getting worried and frustrated at this point. They then proceeded to tell us that she had an accident in the cage and they were washing her up. First both our dogs are very good and never have accidents, but especially this dog they put in the cage has never had an accident and is very good about letting someone know if she needs to use the bathroom. When they FINALLY brought our dog back up she looked very distressed. I immediately took her outside where she could barely hold it to the rocks where the poor thing had basically water coming from her rear. I don’t know what happened, but it seems she had been trying to let them know that she needed to go outside and instead of them being aware of the dog they stuck her in a cage where she proceeded to have an accident and then they let her sit in for lord knows how long until we came to pick them up. If nothing else I should have received a phone call letting me to now that my dog wasn’t staying in the cubicle and needed to be picked up or they would have to crate her. I of course would’ve came and got her, but instead they weren’t attentive to my dog and they decided to take matters into their own hands instead of respecting me as the dogs owner! It seems something literally scared the sh*t out of my dog because by the next day she seemed perfectly fine and her movements were back to normal. I will NOT be bringing my dogs back here and would recommend if you do to stay there with your dog to watch over them as they are groomed. This visit ended up being pointless as we had to re bathe our dog that had the accident, and I feel we basically paid for my poor dog to have to sit in a cage and suffer."

"Super friendly and very professional. My cat was sick and stopped grooming and as in dire need of a bath. Majesty helped us and she did an amazing job. Both my cat and I loved her and we will definitely be back for future spa days"

"I don't usually do this, but I would hate for this to happen to another dog. When I arrived to pick up my dog his groomer told me that my dog tried to bite her and that he bit his paw. She said that was the reason why my dog had blood in his hair. So I was like ok I understand, it was super strange for me since my dog is not like that, but those types of things can happen. At the moment my dog was so excited to get out of there so I trusted in what she told me and left. Then when I got to my house and checked his paws and there was absolutely nothing on his paws, and I saw how drops of blood were falling that were coming out of his nose, and his eyes were red (look at the pictures). That day my dog didn't eat anything and he was super down. The next day I went to talk to the manager and the groomer, because I wanted to know exactly what had happened to my dog. They told me that the groomer was off that day, but that in the notes she had said that my dog had bitten his tongue. Which that was totally different from what the groomer had told me. I told the people there that if he had bitten his tongue, then what happened with his nose and his eyes? They didn't know what to tell me. Then I called the co-owner and he told me that the eyes were due to stress. First of all he gets groomed often so that that the answer is no he’s used to getting groomed , And secondly I don’t know who he thinks he is to be giving an opinion on something medical when he’s not a veterinarian. By the way, it's false because That same day I took my dog to the vet, and the vet said the reason his eyes became that way was due to (STRANGULATION). I don't plan on contacting them anymore because it's simply a waste of my time. They are people who only make excuses and don't accept their mistakes. everyone I talked to just made excuses and honestly didn't even care AT ALL. I hope your clients and future clients read this, I love my dog, and I hate seeing him the way he was. They shouldn't put so much pressure on the groomers, and have so many dogs at the same time if they are not going to be able to handle the situation correctly (with patience at least). All I can think that happened is the worst no need to hurt my dog , it is so easy to call and tell me to pick him up. Take a look at the Christmas photo that they sent me and you can clearly see the blood near his nose this is simply horrible and unacceptable. It’s so bad that even when I called the co owner on the phone he said that the photo should have never been sent out on their end. (Zoom in to my dogs face and look near his nose and you will see the blood) Please think twice about taking your pets to a place like this. I am very disappointed and sad that this happened. Response to owner: Yes they called me two days after I posted this review, don’t try to gaslight people.  You are making it seem like I posted this after you guys called. I told the groomer that I appreciate the fact that SHE called me, and apologized for what happened since none of you guys did. Just because she apologized it doesn’t change the fact that I am not going back to this place, and that my dog got hurt. You can say whatever you want to but the pictures are there and you are going to tell me that the eyes happened just because my dog supposedly cut his tongue. Also I never said I was okay with anything and have proof of what the vet said if you would like me to add it on here as well. I’m not going to delete this review the only reason I did it, Is because this can happen to another dog  simple as that period end of story."

"Switched to this groomer after 14 years with my last one. So incredibly pleased and my 14 year shihpoo is very happy when I pick her up. Place is well ran, wonderful little store inside for doggy/ pet items and employees appear to be happy working there. Very well located on the Roseville / Rocklin borderline (blue oaks by 7-11). Been great ! Already have my 3rd appt set!"
