"First time trying and it is delicious, got the Oaxacan pastrami and wouldn't definitely go back again, bread was fresh and ingredients very fresh"
"I already knew Birote was going to be amazing because I had tried the tacos at Macheen in East LA. I ordered the Birria Birote and it was AMAZING!! The consome dip was so delicious too! The birria itself has an amazing and unique deep flavor of spices, paired with some gouda cheese, and the dip was thicker than your average caldo which made it perfect for the bread. Can’t wait to come back and try the other sandwiches. Highly recommend!!"
"Food was great. Had the birria and bahn mi torta. The birria consome to dip the sandwich was so good! The bahn mi was perfectly spicy and sweet. Great food. I would appreciate more signage to indicate that you order at the same register as the horchata location but, other than that, great place."
"My wife and I came by to try out the new spot inside of Horchatería. We both got the oyster mushroom torta. I'll start off with the pros: The flavor is definitely there! It's oyster mushroom marinated in adobo, topped with arugula and garlic aioli, paired with Swiss cheese. As someone who doesn't usually like mushrooms, I finished all of it! We both opted for light arugula. Their esquite was delicious!! That side is worth the visit alone. Now for the cons: The bread (which I believe is birote), was very hard, almost as if it were stale or old. I left half the birote as it was too hard to finish, opting to finish the meat with a fork. The garlic aioli is with the arugula, so if you finish that first, there is not much sauce left leaving the bread too dry. I'll definitely be back, but I'll have to give them some time to figure out the bread situation."
