"If you’re in need of psychiatric medication, they make you see a therapist 2x THEN ur able to schedule an appointment with the nurse/psy dr. The nurse/Psy Dr cares more about risk management rather than prescribing. Definitely NOT the place if you’re looking for long term therapy. VERY unethical, and uneducated when it comes to mental health prescribing. Basically Dr Google. YES they make you “drop”, but that’s anywhere you go, if you want the help, then “dropping” shouldn’t even be an issue."
"Absolutely the worst place I’ve ever dealt with. I run a group home and one of my clients goes here. We are in the process of switching him to Alay because of the rudeness and inconsistency of Renew. Constantly cancelling appts. Many times we drove from over an hour away just to get there and they cancelled the appt and forgot to call. Receptionists are incredibly rude and disrespectful."
"Worked here for awhile. Won't give too many details as I feel you won't need them. But every patient saying this place won't help you is correct. It's filthy, you will get mocked, and the owner is the worst of the problem. While I was working here, he openly mocked and laughed at a patient while he was being held basically at gun point. I am sure files that weren't supposed to get discarded did. Overall, just a shady business."
"Needed to find a new psychiatrist, but wait times at all places were between three to eight months. My insurance set me up with Renew. Had to see a "therapist" first (twice) before the would even schedule me to see an actual doctor. Was told the building was handicapped accessible . Got there in the middle of a rain/hail storm. There was NO handicapped parking. Drove around and around. Had to park blocks away and was soaked by the time I got into the building. First thing I see is that it is all echoing concrete and filthy. Adults and children running wild. Huge staircase up to 2nd floor. Elevator not working. Checked in at a window with two very crabby receptionists who didn't even look me in the eye. Was told my "therapist" had called in. Apparently she doesn't come in in rain or cold weather. They called someone else there, and asked him if he wanted " a new customer". Before I could even start the huge stack of paperwork they gave me (which was now soaked) a man was there. He took me in an office filled with toys (I'm old) and did a history. Told me to see him again in two weeks. He was nice enough, but I prefer female providers. Had to go to yet another office to schedule and fill out the paperwork. When I got to the end of the paperwork, there were a couple of "rules" pages. OY... you would not believe all their rules and regulations, one being on cancelling appointments and not getting seen again.I asked why I hadn't been called about the other therapist not coming in, and all they did was roll their eyes and say that they didn't know.Set up an appointment with a female "therapist" two weeks later. Asked how long it would be before I could see a psychiatrist. Was told they had no idea. When I went to leave, I almost fell on the wet stairs. As I was leaving, a panhandler stopped me to beg for money. When I told him I had nothing to spare, he followed me out the door. Thank goodness it started pouring again, as he went back inside. I will NOT be going back there ever again. Dangerous, dirty, unprofessional place."
"Really annoyed with this place.. I went to get my medications changed and when I went to pick them up they said my doctor needed to approve it. I then waited a week, then 2 weeks I called and said I need my medication, the receptionists are rude, they cut you off when your not done talking, then they grab your information but for what ?? It now has been another 2 weeks, nothing is under my name in Walgreens, I call and no one answers and I am just truly fed up. I wanted to get help, not not get help if I wanted that I wouldn't of gone here in the first place ! So beyond irritated.. This place truly is unorganized, unprofessional, and just a complete joke !"
