"I have been coming to Freewheel for several years and their service has been uniformly excellent. In addition to constructing a custom road bike for me, they have, on several occasions done simple maintenance jobs or refurbished old "clunkers." The quality of the work, whether complex or routine, is excellent. Prices are fair and I would note that on several occasions I have seen them refuse payment for quick walk-in bike adjustments. In all my interactions they have been totally straightforward. During the pandemic, when parts were scarce, they were honest and clear about possible delays. Carlos and Rob are extremely knowledgeable and happy to share their expertise. Every visit has been a positive experience."

"These guys are pros. They never try to sell me a service i don’t need, they give me advice on how to care for the bike when I take it in (even on things unrelated to the service) and if it’s a quick fix, they just do it and don’t ask for money. They give a cookie to my dog and let me know when/if I need to check back in for other services since I’m not particularly well versed on bikes and I ride my bike daily. They are quiet, but engaged and kind. Can’t recommend them enough!"

"I have been to this shop many times, and have had mostly interacted with the taller tattooed fellow whos name is escaping me. And he has always provided excellent and friendly service. And generally I think it's a nice shop, with neighborhood vibes. However, a recent visit for a simple service resulted in damage to my bike while it was being worked on by Carlos, the shorter fellow. He vehemently denied he caused the damage, and came up with a variety of reasons why it "wasn't even possible" and yet I have photographic evidence of the undamaged bike from 30 seconds before handing it over to him. And noticed it immediately upon him giving the bike back to me minutes later. We even looked at his tools next to the damage and they aligned perfectly and the cause was undeniably clear. He at this point offered to do (and did complete) a DIY repair, but never apologized, and never admitted fault, never offered a refund, and never stopped deflecting blame. Ultimately, I felt like his words to me were not authentic or honest, and he knew he caused the damage but was too proud or fearful to admit it. And, if I hadn't pushed him super hard on it he would have been totally A-OK letting me leave the store unhappy with a damaged bike. Mistakes happen, I totally get that. But in my opinion this showed a lack of integrity, and that doesn't fly with me. I recommend going somewhere else for your bike maintenance needs."

"The guy who "helped" me was maybe the rudest and most unhelpful person I've ever experienced shopping. I don't have a thin skin and never leave bad reviews anywhere but this guy was ridiculous; he seemed annoyed the second I walked in and even rolled his eyes at me. Sold me an overpriced cheap component (that broke later that day) and even screwed up my chain/gear alignment when putting on a new wheel. Anyway, there are much better and more friendly shops around and I'll be avoiding this place from now on"

"Amazing bike shop with kind, knowledgeable staff - obvious experts whose love of bikes is absolutely infectious. I'm so grateful for the adjustments to my bike - it rides much better and I learned so much about posture and position. Excited to go back, this is obviously my go-to bike shop now forever."
