"I’ve been coming to SoCal bikes for the past year or so. Brooks has been phenomenal! He cares about the safety of my kids’ bikes and has always made time to work on their bikes. Very appreciative for his help and knowledge. I have recommend him to all my friends!"

"Didn’t have a super great experience. On their website, we selected to pick up our bikes at 9:00 am but when we showed up everything was locked up… apparently it didn’t open until 10:00. So we had to wander around for an hour till it opened. Staff kinda acted like we were bothering them by by being there. The bikes weren’t the best either. Mine wouldn’t shift into the lowest gear without the chain coming off. And another bike in our group had a similar issue. My tires weren’t fully inflated. On another bike, the wrong pedals were put on. Next time we’re in Oceanside we will pick a different shop."

"I was overall disappointed in this bike shop. The website allows you to select rental pickup as early as 9:00 am, however the shop doesn’t open until 10:00 am. We had to wait an hour for the shop to open after getting there at 9:00. When i told the employees they didn’t seem to care that the website is misleading. I had reserved specific road bikes and when i told the employees which bikes i selected, they basically told us that they don’t actually give customers the bikes they select online. The employees didn’t seem to have a very good knowledge as they gave us the wrong pedals on multiple bikes. (Not to mention they argued with each other the whole time which was uncomfortable) The bikes were dirty and greasy and desperately needed some maintenance. We had chains fall off multiple times on a short 30 mile ride because the derailers were in such bad shape. The shop was also a huge mess inside. I may be a bike shop snob as the shops i usually go to clean and the employees do an excellent job, but this was just sad. It appears to be very mismanaged."

"We rented 2 road bikes and 2 e-bikes for the kids and Lyndsay was so accommodating. Very professional and gave us insight on where to ride! We rode to LaJolla and did a cliff tour lots of fun. Look forward to coming back and renting again thank you"

"Friendly, helpful with adjustments to seat, and instructing operation of bikes. Seemed to be the best price for eBike rental in Oside. For our last half dozen bike rentals in past few years, this was first time including bike lock (didn't use it, but nice if we had wanted to stop at a restaurant). Great ride along the Coast to Encinitas. Think I will look further into buying an eBike now, although to get one as good as our rentals here is probably pricey. PS, they also gave a good recommendation for lunch: The Beach Hut Deli!"
