"It's a small town history not my cup of tea but if your super bored and want to know if this town was ever hoping there is where u go to see how nice this town is. Mind if u do come it's 25mph in town and the cops if need be will violate your civil rights and get away with it too."
"We love small town museums. We drove approx 1 hr to get here. The website says open, closes at 5p. But they are NOT open... so I called the phone number off the website but only got a "this number has been disconnected" message. Very disappointed."
"Pulled in to check the place out but before the girlfriend and I could get out of the car a cop comes flying into the parking lot and screams stay in the car comes to the window and starts giving me the third degree and I stop giving answers and then he starts in on my girlfriend and I can see in her face she's about to cry and I start asking for his supervisor and he says I'm the chief of police and this is my town and we don't want your type around here and I say what type is that ( we are clean cut white Profesional middle class driving a year old car) and he says foreigners, I state the obvious and say I'm white, he says you're not from around here, I say no we're tourists from Indiana, he raises his voice and says well keep touring and get the f__k out of my town now, turns and walks away. We got the F out of town called the lodge canceled our reservation and drove to St.Croix. We will never go through that town ever again. I can't believe that cop can be good for the businesses of that town."
"The Turtle Lake Museum is a fun place to visit. It's a wonderful way for the people of the area to learn about the history of Turtle Lake. Kudos to the volunteers who put in so much time and effort!"
"The Museum is open from 10 am to 4 pm on the 2nd and 3rd weekends of June through September. It is available for school tours, class reunions and special occasions by appointment. It specializes in local history but relates to most small towns in Wisconsin. The museum is operated by volunteers. Admission is free, however donations are gratefully appreciated."
