"STAY AWAY Cabins were what I expected,they may be could supply some towels and other basics? Owners seem like they have had enough and ready to retire,went to get wood for a fire at 8pm and got a tongue lashing,not even sure why but she wasn't happy about getting us some firewood. Says on website full service bar and grill,we stayed a Thursday, Friday, Sat night and never noticed it was open so I would count on that. The first morning there Joe pulled up on a golf cart and proceeded to tell several racist jokes,and how if a "n*****" ever shows up on his property he would shoot them,I was morally disgusted. Fishing and such was ok no complaints there I would never rent here again unless it under new ownership."

"My husband, his brother and step dad go camping at Joe’s every summer. Here’s what my husband has to say: The owners are so friendly. Joe is an extremely nice man and very welcoming. The fishing is great. The owners dogs, Lance and Lady, are the cutest and love my husband. He can’t stop talking about them to me after he comes home. The mosquitoes are terrible, but worth the location, fishing, and inviting atmosphere. We look forward to going every summer. We’ve thought about getting a seasonal site. The cost is reasonable at $1000 a year. Joe’s is awesome and a great place to camp. For reference we have a 28’ travel trailer."

"Place is out of the way a bit, which is nice. Owners have a mess of big dogs that run all over the place like a herd of drunk buffalo. Rather annoying, if you try to shew the dogs off or out of your camp you'll get a nice tongue lashing from the owners. Apparently the dogs have free reign of the lands and get priority over paying customers."

"What a fantastic group of people at this resort. They we're extremely welcoming. The cabins were neat and tidy and came fully furnished. The scenery is beautiful. The main two docks were nice for pulling the boat up to. I will stay here again."

"Older resort, but the staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. If you are not a dog lover, this may not be the place for you. There are 4 resort dogs. Very quiet and peaceful. Excellent access to the water for boating/fishing."
