"I can't say enough good things about Dr. Jamali and his staff! I was an x ray tech for 50 years!!! I saw and participated in many knee and hip surgeries. Believe me, I did my homework on who to trust doing MY knee surgery. He's a wonderful, kind, caring person but what REALLY counts is his skill as an orthopedic surgeon!! I was new to the northern california area so searching and finding Dr. Jamali was worth the effort. I am 6 months post full knee replacement and my life is measurably better. Pain free at last!!!"
"Dr. Jamili, P.A. Tim, and the entire staff are all outstanding. The offices are both extremely well run, and efficient in all phases of patient contact. I contacted Dr. Jamali in July '22 for a consult regarding the possibility of having Open Wedge, High Tibial Osteotomy (aka: HTO) surgery, both as an athlete, and at age 59. I had my surgeries done to both legs in late Jan and late Mar of '23. Both surgeries went extremely well, as did the immediate and long term recovery, which I've documented on my YT channel: ToddM My legs have been bowed since birth. The bow was getting worse as the medial compartments of both knees were having the cartilage ground away. I was also becoming shorter. The openings in the Tibias had to be 18mm (almost 3/4") in order to correct the bow, and my legs are now 1" longer. I elected to use bone taken from the Iliac Crest of my own pelvis, on both sides, as a bone graph, in order to speed up the healing process. I returned to both mountain biking and long distance trail running (biking within 6 weeks post-op on the 1st surgery, and 4 weeks post-op on the 2nd surgery, and running "for real" June 1st). I met my goals of running another R2R at the Grand Canyon, as a marathon distance, on my 60th birthday mid-Aug, running it again as a speed run in early Oct. and competing "all out," in 2 half marathon trail races in the Santa Cruz Mountains with significant elevation gain/loss. I placed 3rd overall in the first race, just a few weeks after that first R2R, and I won the second race, a few weeks after the R2R speed run. I'm not mentioning the performance as a brag. I'm mentioning it so that someone considering HTO can have an understanding of what's possible, post surgery. It's mid-Dec. and I've just had both titanium plates and all 16 screws removed. The surgery was outpatient, and I've not been affected by it at all. I've not needed any pain pills, of any kind. After a few weeks of down-time, I'll be returning to training, and give downhill skiing a whirl. I don't have words sufficient enough to properly thank Dr. Jamali, Tim, and the staff at JPI, for the incredible care I've received, let alone for giving me the opportunity to remain athletic. -ToddM EDIT: It's now early February, and I'm back to downhill skiing. I celebrated my 1 year post-op anniversary (for my 1st HTO surgery, and 10mos for my 2nd) by going skiing in late January. A week later, I went skiing again, and I'm heading back to the slopes this coming weekend."
"Dr Jamale and staff are very kind and professional. I felt that my injuries and treatments that would facilitate healing were very important to Dr Jamale. His thorough assessment of my injuries really made me feel that he totally got my individual treatment needs and addressed them."
"Dr. Jamali and his assistant and staff are all wonderful. They have outstanding follow-up and are knowledgeable. He is one of the very best health practitioners I have ever been too. I am trying to talk my stubborn former husband into setting an appointment too!"
"Dr Jamali is amazing! Extremely kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, & listens to his patients! His Staff in the Walnut Creek Office made me feel instantly comfortable. I’m willing to drive over 2 1/2 hours to be seen by Dr Jamali & his Staff!"
