"We stayed here for 4.5 years and paid over $80,000 in rent. When we moved out, they charged us $1,775 for paint, carpet cleaning and changing light bulbs. Do you not expect to paint an apartment after a resident spending almost 5 years in an apartment??"
"DO NOT MOVE HERE!! Sure the apartments are nice and it’s a nice area but it’s a prison! 1) they drive around on golf carts in front and back of your apartment almost every day! 2) they make it so you cannot have lights on your patio unless it’s between December to January! 3) when you go month to month it goes up $300! 4) the apartments are very noisy! You can hear everyone up stairs and next to you! 5) if you do not break down a box you get a $100 dollar fine with a 5 day eviction notice if you do not pay it! 6) if you leave your garage door open it’s $50-$75 per hour that it is open! 7) you cannot have decorations on your windows unless it’s 3 days before and after a holiday! 8) It never felt like a home! I was scared to do anything. I couldn’t have the windows open or the curtains open. When you drive around all curtains and windows are closed and there is a good reason why. They will deny deny deny because they want you to move there and give them money. Good luck to whoever moves here!"
"I have one word. Prison. This place felt like it man. Just looking outside eating my morning breakfast and I see a landlord riding on his/her golf cart looking right at me. Just consistently looking for issues and for what people are doing. We felt... trapped. The apartments themselves are extremely nice but man I never felt at home. Was too afraid to have my windows open, too afraid to be on my back patio, too afraid to open my garage door. They just want more and more money and don’t seem to care too much about their tenants. It’s sad. Really. Beyond ecstatic to be out and living somewhere that I can truly enjoy."
"We moved out seven months ago. We were extremely happy with the manager Mike, he went above and beyond what was necessary. The office staff are extremely rude. We had one month out of four years living there, 2 years at Wyndham and 2 years at Aria. We added incorrectly our water bill to our rent for a total of less than two dollars difference. Instead of calling and discussing this with us for two dollars they sent a nasty email. At no time were we ever late or did we ever cause any problems in those apartments to be treated that way by their office staff. The water bills are extremely high and whether you’re renting a one bedroom or three bedroom you were charged exactly the same amount. So whether you have one person in a unit or you’ve got five or six people in a unit there is no difference in the cost of water. The public service bills were extremely high due to the fact that the cold air comes in through the heat unit. So it fights against each other, the cold and heat. Not at all energy efficient. All in all our experience at Aria was not a good experience."
"For being a brand new apartment complex, it sure has a lot of downfalls. Cons: 1. All heating is electric (which you pay for). Your heater and A/C unit are built into one. This becomes a huge problem in the winter because cold air pours into your room through your A/C unit when you aren't running the heat, but if you do run the heat, it senses the cold air coming in and never shuts off so your room will either be 90 degrees or 30 degrees. 2. The windows are extremely cheap and let air through 3. You are going to need a humidifier for every room unless you want to nearly start a fire whenever you touch something in the winter. 4. It takes an extremely long time to get hot water. My specific apartment may be far away from the heat source, but seriously, its too long. 5. If you commute to work in the morning, good luck getting onto the highway from the side road. Or you can go an extra 10 minutes out of your way to the nearest on-ramp. 6.Lights are terribly inefficient. 3 bathroom lights burnt out within the first 4 months and I'm the first person in this unit. 7. Even though this is a brand new unit, there seems to be a lot of "random inspections" for "stress cracks" and "other maintenance" by the facility managers. 8. Kind of far away from everything. No real food options close by and almost no delivery options for food. (this one is more personal preference) 9. Probably more stuff that I am forgetting... Pros: 1. Tall ceilings 2. Very clean (although I'm the first person in this unit) 3. Nice kitchen 4. Laundry in the unit 5. Garage underneath - depending on unit PS. I'm not sure who these other "local guide" reviews are from, but they somehow have 5 star reviews from a year ago on an apartment complex that isn't even a year old yet...."
