Lake Forest II 8471 South Chicago Road, Oak Creek, WI 53154

"I never lived here, but I took a tour in 2015 and got accepted in 2016 but instead took a different property. This is a standard Section 8 type property and everybody who lives here is either elderly or disabled. The common area reeks of cigarettes. The apartments are on the smaller size, especially the size of the kitchens, and they do not offer built-in microwaves or air conditioning, so you must bring your own. I was told the building has storage and laundry machines, but I never saw those. While there are a few buses that run around this area, I would only really recommend living here if you are already familiar with Oak Creek and South Milwaukee and have your own car. The main attraction of this building is its large community room that the tenants take advantage multiple times a week. There are 64 apartments in this building and if you apply it will take roughly six months to get accepted. However, it seems like all the apartments are identical except which angle your windows will be facing. Overall I would suggest passing on a place like this unless for some reason you need to live around the Oak Creek and South Milwaukee area. This hasn't been the worst Section 8 complex I've seen, but it isn't the best either."

"I just moved here on October 27th 2021 I really like it I am only 26 years old and I am disabled But I have met a lot of nice people that live here one of my favorite things that we do here every Tuesday and Thursday is polish poker we only play for pinneys I mostly do it to hang out with other people and it's something to that's really fun and they are pet friendly I would really recommend leaving here"

"I have been living here for 8 years and I hate it. The two or three people who work here don't care about us at all, they might as well not even be here. It says for ages 62 and over, yet we have all kind of troubled youths, one who stole from me and others, such a joy. I tried to get help a few years ago and was told I could go a long time without food and that was all the help I got. PLEASE, DO NOT COME HERE TO LIVE. SIRENS (LOUDER THAN SHOULD BE ALLOWED) ALL TIMES OF DAY OR NIGHT. IT'S JUST A NIGHTMARE!!! WE ARE TOO OLD AND BROKE TO MOVE ANYMORE!"

"Fun, if you like being bullied by tenants for their sport, with every tier of management absolutely biased, unwilling to do their jobs, and most importantly, unable to protect you from constant threats of violence and vandalism to your vehicle. Their response to everything? "If you don't like it, then MOVE!" Very supportive, indeed. Give me $10,000 in punitive damages and I will...otherwise I'm stuck here - just like everyone else."

"STAY AWAY From Meridian Group they are a very money hungary. The staff is very rude and does't even listen to there tenants. As soon as a apartment is open they just pick a person to fill it no back round checks or etc. I lived with them for one month after they took over Lake Forest II apartments in Oak Creek,WI and the apartment is complex is trashed. After the last owners that used to run it was all newly redone not all the furniture and etc. This is not even wroth looking at. They just want your money and that's all. Just Be Aware. I'm so glad I left them because Meridian Group. because THEY SUCK AS A MANAGEMENT COMPANY. JUST BEWARE OF THEM AND STAY AWAY. THERE OUT FOR ONE THING AND THAT IS YOUR MONEY."
