"I have lived at the Eastsider for over a year at this point, and I think it's a great place to live. The leasing agent who handled my lease initially was very gracious and helped me easily get through the process of moving to a new city and place sight unseen (except virtually). My apartment was very clean and fresh smelling when I moved in, and she checked to ensure all was well and helped me figure out all the things I needed to get set up for living in Milwaukee. We have had new agents and property management individuals since then, but they have also been polite and helpful when I have needed anything. In particular, I was really grateful for the access accommodations they made for me after a serious illness and medical procedure. The apartment is next to Walgreens and close to many nice restaurants and other shops. It is also along a bus route and close to the UWM campus if that is something you need. It is also easy to access downtown, and there is a park just across the street a ways. The maintenance guys are great. They respond quickly and are very thorough in their work. I haven't had an issue they haven't fixed quickly, and they always respect my time and space when they come in. I also noticed that the management contracts a cleaning service to frequently clean shared spaces, such as hallways and other public-facing areas, which is nice. My only complaint might actually be a plus to another person. The apartment complex is pet-friendly. So you may see or hear pets around. In general, this is nice and gives the place a homey feel; most of the pets that live here are great neighbors and perfectly suitable for apartments, but there is one pet that is a little louder and harder to deal with than the others. But this won't be an issue if you do not live on that floor. A gym and community room are available in the building, and entry to the building is secured. I saw another person mention an unauthorized individual gaining access to the building once, but this has never happened before or since, and I suspect was a result of a fault in the door which they promptly fixed. I've been impressed by how quickly they seem to respond to reported issues. I hope the rest of my time here will continue to be as great as it's been so far. I'm comfortable in the space and have not had any issues with anyone. So I would recommend it as a great place to live. See you around, maybe."
"The first week of staying at my new studio apartment was so incredibly awful. First day, the door doesn't open like they told me it would and also I am told the water would be turned for the next two days. When I get to move in there is urine and hair all over the sink and toilet in the bathroom. The next day I am told that the memo that went out regarding the water leak was incorrectly worded and the water will only be shut off temporarily in 2 days. A few days later a homeless man is let into the building lobby and allowed to roam the building freely. Literally the next day I come home from work to find the AC unit had begun leaking and stained the white walls underneath it. Did I mention that I am still receiving the previous tenant's mail? What's even more frustrating is that I have no idea who to contact about these issues, nobody has told me anything. The lack of communication and building management skills are completely absent, if you value those, I advise looking into renting somewhere else."
"The Eastsider Apartment is my first apartment in Milwaukee and I love the EASTSIDER . The building is brand new and public area like community room, lobby and gym are always clean! The building is in a great location with UWM Campus , the lake and lots of restaurants within a couple of blocks. The lease agent Colleen and other residents are friendly and helpful!"
"The Eastsider is a wonderful place to live. It is a brand new building, making the units all new and the appliances very nice and efficient. My unit has a washer and dryer, making it much easier than having to go some place to do laundry. Other amenities that the building has is a workout room, a community room with a balcony, underground parking (at extra cost), and commercial parking for guests when needed and available. I am very pleased with the time that I have spent here, the building is very secure and my unit is very cozy and comfortable. The location is also nice in being close to restaurants and stores, within walking distance of UWM campus and fairly close to the beach/lake. The staff is super friendly and always happy to help. Overall a great place to live!"
"Living here has been nothing but a great experience! The building itself is still brand new and lobby and halls are always very clean. I love my unit - the appliances are all brand new and high efficiency. Having in-unit washer/dryer, underground parking and a workout room in the building are huge perks to living here at the Eastsider. On top of all that, the building staff are always super friendly and helpful! I would absolutely recommend living here!!"
