"Unfortunately the place has really gone down hill- used to be a great local benefit but as the other comments confirm it’s become a poorly managed dump. Maybe it’s the economy and Bidenomics, but it’s sad to see it become a 3rd world facility. They need some serious fundraising!Notice all the positive comments are super old!? That says it all…"
"Not open during stated hours and nothing on the website. Did this place permanently close? Edit: 26th Tuesday between 630-830 as linked. Not Christmas. Bizarre thing to state when lights are out and doors are locked. Please just update website to be accurate."
"The pool is actually nice. But Im giving it a 1 star because of the life guards. They give the place a bad vibe. Feels like they dont wanna be there. There's this kid, I asked him a question, he look at me and had a frown on his face and didnt even say anything. He was just plain rude. Disrespectful. I mean all of them have that face. Looks like a place with a bunch of kids playing life guard who hates life. Maybe 1 was decent. The guy who helped us at the counter the second time around. First time we stood there and everyone of them can see us and they didnt even help us until few minutes later. Pool is great as long as you dont mind having rude kids as life guards hanging around."
"My son was so excited to learn how to swim. I signed him up for level 2 thinking he would learn the basic techniques to swimming. During the 7 lessons, he learned how to tread water, grab something off the bottom of the pool and jump off the side. It wasn't until the 4th day when they did any thing resembling swimming. These sessions are 25 minutes long, which is rediculous. Especially for $80. There were 5 kids in his group which means my son received 5 minutes of instruction. I will admit, I did not look closely at the length of the lesson when signing him up. I thought I was paying for a longer class. That is my fault. The last 10 minutes of the class, the kids jumped off the wall. If my son jumped 1st, his class was over 5 minutes early which means he had a 20 minute class not 25. The instructors taught them the back stroke and free style and had the kids each swim a few feet. Never once did I see an instructor show my son the proper way to move his arms. In my opinion, this should've been taught day 1. I had to switch weeks due to a family emergency and was called 3 times by the staff to collect the $10 transfer fee. I informed them that I would pay in person because I didn't want to give my credit card number over the phone. Needless to say, the response I received wasn't nice. I'm not one of those moms who thinks my kid is great at everything. I know he's not, but he will have to repeat level 2 again because there wasn't proper instruction. I will make sure he receives this at another location because I refuse to return to the Pleasant Valley Aquatic Center."
"My youngest daughter took swim classes in this facility. It made my baby comfortable in the water and she is staring to learn how to paddle and turn on her back to float. It gave me a piece of mind as we have a pool at home."
