"Lived here for a year and it was a great experience! I came to Gabby in a bad living situation really needing my first own place. She showed true empathy for my situation and did everything to help me get a unit. I was only a co signer previously on a lease and she helped me get out of that lease and took a chance on me as a first time solo renter. They allow dogs which is amazing cause not only was it myself but it was my dog Luna. After applying I heard back from them same day. When my situation became worse in my current living situation, they got me in even sooner for move in. Nothing but kindness and compassion from Brenda and Gabby. Really down to earth people and don’t make you feel like you’re renting from a big corporation. Throughout my year there, I only had minor issues. One being halfway through my stay new tenants moved in and were extremely disruptive to the point where they knocked my smoke detector from the ceiling. The office staff took my concerns seriously and took care of the bad situation that I was experiencing. My dog loved living here with a trail right behind she had plenty of great walks. Heat is included here which is a huge financial plus. Only thing I can really complain about which is no fault of Douglas Terrace as these are older buildings and the unit itself was brand new since I did have a remodeled unit, was the AC in summer. Since the unit is in the corner of the living room cool air does not reach the bedroom which can get really hot at night. Overall I moved really only because of the area and just wanted an overall upgrade. But this place is very homey and was a good stepping stone for me and I thank the office staff for being so personable and giving me a shot. They also returned pretty much all of my deposit, only thing left out was on me because I lost my guest parking pass. That gained even more respect from me because getting deposits back is unheard of today. I was a good tenant I feel and I’m glad I was because they truly respect when you are a respectful good tenant here and them returning my deposit shows that. Again, I truly appreciate Douglas Terrace for a good living experience with good staff and neighbors. Luna and me will miss you guys!"

"HONEST REVIEW .DO NOT MOVE HERE . PREJUDICE If you are someone younger please do not move here . I've witnessed numerous people be evicted from here . Most to all being POC. I've witnessed someone close to me get evicted for "non lease renewal". Meaning they wouldn't let them renew their lease . Basically a legal way of forcing you out of your own apartment. The office lady "Brenda" has verbally said to person that " I will get you evicted and then you'll have an eviction on your record and it will make it hard for you to get another apartment" knowing that someone is going to need a place to live and knowingly making it hard for them . There is a problem with bugs in the cabinets and drawers . Walls are very thin and so are the floor boards for upstairs apartments . Not worth the price at all. If you are young looking for a "luxury" apartment this IS NOT the place to look .Look at an actual newly built apartment instead.PLEASE."

"Maintenance is great. I put in a request and they were there right in the morning and fixed my dishwasher in under 30 minutes! Maintenance lady is wonderful!"

"Really good maintenence. No 2 week wait, a day max so far for me. They keep up on things. Got new intercoms and boiler for my last building so to me that says they care about the quality of their buildings. Honestly, both Brenda and Gabby seem to be understanding good hearted people. I enjoyed my neighbors in the last building and feel like it's a safe little community. People look out for each other and even get others packages behind the locked door so they're not stolen. 2 days ago I moved into another building for the 2 bdrm and I'm hoping the experience stays just as lovely."
