"SMH. The new owners of Mayfair Apartments must be goofy and delusional as ever if they honesty think most people here can afford a 350-400 dollar increase and that new potential residents would be willing to pay 1130-1300 a month to llve in a low income area lime North Lovers Lane Road! It's not gonna happen. Do not move here what ever you do. Mayfair Apartments was bought back in October by "Bender Companies" they are raising rent to thousands a month even though every other apartment complex on Lovers Lane Road is only 700-890 for a TWO bedroom. They are gonna end up losing a lot of great tenants who can no longer afford to live here as a result blatant greed in a effort to try and get people to pay that extremely high amount of rent which they will not succeed in attracting. Mayfair Apartments has had mur. ders, ra. pes and car burglariesz stray gu nsh ot bul. lets hitting apartment windows for msny years and the entire community surrounding the copied is a crime ridden food dessert. Sinxe all the grocery stores I'm this area closed due to crime incuding a Walmart now most residents have to order food via grocery delivery apps. I'm certainly hot blaming the current or former owners(Greywolf Partners) for the crime problem in the area but the point is that "Bender Companies" had no buisness charging that ridiculous high amount of rent in a neighboor like this. These are small below average Apartments that are of less quality then the others on this Block. When we first moved here back in 2017 Mayfair Apartments was classified as a low income affordable housing apartment place. When the new owners took over they never notified us that tgis plqce waa no longer gonna be that. And was now gonna be a expensive high cost Apartments community. So unless you can afford a 300-400 dollar rent I crease each year and wanna pay over 1200 a month to live near where your gonna hear shootins every night after 9pm(especially during the summer) dont move here! You have been warned."

These insane greedy new owners(Bender companies) who bought this apartment complex are raising rent on a one bedrooms by over 350 dollars from 770 a month to a massive 1130 a month! And for two bedrooms they are gonna start charging nearly 1300 a month! No way. Those are prices for upscale and suburban areas. Certainly not Lovers Lane Road which is a low income working class area surrounded by crime ridden neighborhoods that has shootings, carjacking and store robberies every night. We are also a food dessert and the Walmart supercenter amd Pick n save grocery store which was located down tbe street on silver spring at Timmerman plaza had a much publicized closure due to Massive crime problem. So the new owners are charging more at a time when the neighborhood hood is having economic turmoil, groceryvatore closures and big crime increase. You can get a one bedroom for cheaper in a lot of suburban and more affluent areas. All the other apartment complexes on Lovers Lane only charges between 700-870 for a one bedroom. And at Silver Trail Apartments which is right next door they charge only 850 for a TWO bedroom. So that should tell you how they are trying to scam and price gouge residents. Mayfair Apartments rent increase was only 10 dollars a year and it was previously classified as a affordable housing apartment complex for low income people when we moved here back in 2016. They have not stopped raising rent since they bought back in October and intially the rent increase was suppose to be to 946 which is also outrageous. Mayfair Apartments has been on the news for years for murders, car thefts and other crimes the past. In 2020 a 5 year old child named "Jamal Anderson Jr" was shot and killed inside a apartment which resulted in two arrests. We had police and FBI agents searching tbe campus and going from door to door. We also had a one shot to death here in 2022. And a few years ago a suspect shot and assassinated a man down the street at dominos pizza on Lovers Lane and the suspect had been secretley staying with girlfriend on and off at Mayfair Apartments. So these new owners must not have any common sense. Because why would people pay 1130-1300 dollars to live in a place like this thats located in a food dessert with rising crime and previous , robberies drug dealing, car break-ins and shootings here at mayfair apartment when all the other apartments on this Block are only 700-900 a month?! Nonsense."

"I have lived at Mayfair for sevrel years. But were recently bought by a new owner(Bender) and theres a rumour among residents in the community that Bender is planning on raising rent here by a massive 200 dollars for a one bedroom! That is absolutely outrageous price increase. We were always promised by mayfair apartments that rent woukd never go up more then 10-15 dollars each year. If a one bedroom is really gonna be over 940 during lease renewels that's would make us the most expensive apartmrnt on Lovers Lane. Silver trail apartments which is right next door to mayfaur charges only charges 770-870 for a two bedroom. I dont lnkw how on earth they expect most residents here for afford that sort-of increase when the entire attraction of .affair apartments was thst it was cheaper then the other apartments on Lovers lane area a supposed to be affordable low ncome housing when we moved here over 5 years ago. So I hope this isn't true but I suspect it is since bender allegedly does the same price increases with other properties they buy."
