"My husband and I moved to Worthington 2 years ago and we recently purchased a home and moved out. Our time at the the Worthington apartments was amazing! Living downtown was so much fun and we enjoyed sitting by the lake everyday. As far as maintenance of the apartment, we never had a problem and things were fixed quickly. I felt safe living there and it was always quiet."
"Great location, but horrible management. All the reviews about it are legitimate. Literally every building resident said something to me about how bad management is, but the location can’t be beat. Took me 2 weeks to get a hold of someone to show me a vacant unit to rent (that should have been a sign). They have no on site property manager and it’s next to impossible to get a hold of anyone there. They never answer the phone and barely respond to any emails. I stayed for one year before moving out and 30 days later still don’t have a security deposit, even though Wisconsin legally gives 21 days. Avoid this if you can."
"Just a heads up to everyone thinking about renting from this company. I just retired from the military a month ago and am considering relocating back to WI for a job. I called Worthington Apartments looking for a potential place to live for the next 10-months instead of 12 before I head to school. Totally understand if they wouldn’t budge on their year long lease only policy, I even offered to pay more but they wouldn’t budge. Im writing this review not because they wouldn’t work with me but rather the way they treated me was borderline offensive and we’re really rude to both my fiancé and I. While this one particular individual may not reflect the entire company, this was a bad enough interaction where I thought it would be prudent to write a quick review for all considering this place."
"The apartment is beautiful and location can’t be beat, but this was overall the WORST experience I have ever had with renting. The “management” team is awful. They were impossible to contact, and never returned calls or email. In the rare instance that they did send an email, they were completely unprofessional and rude. Upon move in, they only gave us one key. When I contacted them to find out where the second key was, they told me the maintenance people must have mistakenly taken it so we should just go have another key made. I was never reimbursed, the other key was never found (as far as I know, but can not confirm since the manager never returned any of my emails), and locks were never changed. We were also not shown anything in the building (trash, recycling, phone requirement for letting guests in, etc.) and I was never given the parking pass that I was told multiple times was left hanging on my apartment door. They made move in and move out extremely challenging by requiring Monday-Thursday from 8am to 4pm moving. This is simply not possible for a working adult. We spent an entire day cleaning the apartment when we moved in because it was horribly dirty, and we found rusty nails on the floor throughout the apartment. I sent several emails with pictures of the condition on move in and was always ignored. To this day, my concerns have never been addressed. As for the apartment, the walls were paper thin and you could hear every word and footstep of those around you. One elevator for the entire building was very inconvenient. Long story short, I will NEVER live in a property “managed” by Sterling Investments again. I suggest you don’t either."
