"CFA is not legit for african countries, so please don’t apply from Africa. They will treat you kind until you pay for admission 500$. And they won't allow you to proceed with the application unless you pay for admission, It is a lot of money at 1st they say they will refund if you didn't receive the visa and then they will tell you. " they can't accept applications from specific countries, and they band anyone coming from your country." And I feel like they are doing this because I am applying from Africa. I have a proof of all our conversation and receipt I was asking them for the Pre-qualification enrollment form for attending CFA, i think they should mentioned about not accepting certain countries before asking to pay for admission to proceed. finally, they told me they won't refund my money and they can't do anything about it, and i can try another flight academy."

"California Flight Academy has been awesome so far. As an international student, training in the same plane as the plane in my country where I will convert my license was very important. They also offer student housing, which made moving to a new country easier. The staff are very helpful with all the TSA and Visa processing I had to deal with. All the flight instructors had been very patient, they want you to learn and be a safe pilot. They push you to be better and equip you to succeed. The airspace is great as you get to train in some of the world’s busiest airspace while having a lot of training space as well. Weather in San Diego is beautiful. Some cancellations due to clouds or winds but also means you get the chance to experience some actual instrument conditions. All in all, it’s been a great place to jumpstart my aviation journey."

"Called the school and the person who answered (Beverly) did not seem too helpful and interested. Also, according to Beverly, this school does not teach new CFI students unless you started your training with them."

"I was in this school for 7 months without PPL , I would not recommend this school for International Students especially. I transfered to another school and got everything from PPL to CFI in just 4 months. Most international students last 3+ years until all their money is drained and they are kicked. Old Cesnna 172(no g1000), few instructors, new rules everyday(go to an established school), student housing just to name a few. I am glad I left this school early before they drained my passion for flying. Definately not worth it."
