"Went in for an intro flight. Everyone I met had such a wonderful vibe; so helpful and sweet, and professional. Candice was my instructor and she was AMAZING. She articulated everything very well and I felt well prepared to participate in the flight and was able to follow along as well as expected for a first flight. She was extremely knowledgeable and experienced, calm and relaxed. She made it a wonderful experience for me. I love that this is a family business and I loved that there was a sweet pup in the office - Olive- (I’m a dog trainer currently so dogs always make a good impression on me- especially well behaved ones). If I do choose to continue forward with flight training, I will most definitely return to Civic Helicopters. The experience could not have been better! Thank you!"

"Candice (chief flight instructor) was the rudest person I have ever met at any flight school. I had called in and made an appointment to take a tour of the school, i was looking for a flight school to finish up my training. And was met with nothing but hostility and rudeness. She didnt even show me around the school, talk about prices or anything. This would be the last flight school on earth i would ever go to"

"Chin Tu is an adsolutely amazing pilot, yet an absolutely horrible instructor and unethical businessman. Chin re-uses timed out parts, pads students Hobbs time and alters aircraft Hobbs to save money. He fires mechanics and pilots that even hint at questioning him on his illegal practices and then tries to blackball them wherever they go. Chins only true concern is money and does not care about churning out dangerously untrained pilots (mainly his Chinese students) and has a Checkride instructor in his pocket. His daughter Candice is a carbon copy of Chin, yet she is grossly condescending and isulting to her students. This is the last place you should go to fulfill your dream."

"Civic Helicopters is truly the most unethical, unorganized and dangerous flight school we have EVER worked with. The owner of Civic is old school Chinese, which means he as well as his daughter operate with little to no regard for the most basic of safety protocols or professional behavior. They openly re-use timed out parts and constantly cut corners to save money. When something breaks they take zero accountability and displace all blame onto their students and instructors and will do everything in their power to have the students or instructors pay for the repairs. If any Civic employee or CFI speaks up and voices ANY concern about safety or students being overcharging they are immediately terminated or harassed out of the company. Saying that the owner(s) are “Chinese” is by no means a bigoted statement, it is only a cultural truth and is a fact of how the Chinese operate. I know this because I am Chinese myself but I was born in the U.S. and I’m of a much younger generation than the owner(s) of Civic which means I have a ethics, a conscience and moral standards."
