"Our kiddo had interest in learning to play the drums. Initially started at a music academy, but weren’t blown away by the instruction. After a few lessons, started seeking elsewhere. Unlike the piano or guitar, the drums is not one of those instruments that has a high volume of instructors to choose from. Came across OC Drum School and phoned Jeff Wolfe. From the phone call alone, he was patient with listening to our learning goals and answering questions. Was very pleased to hear that Jeff teaches drum music theory- not something that we were able to find elsewhere. Lessons are conducted from Jeff’s home in Huntington Beach. He gave precise instructions and even had a designated parking spot for us to park in. The set up was great- two full drum sets, side by side. In the first lesson, he was teaching how to read and play notes. In fact, the lesson book is written Jeff himself. And by the end of the first lesson, they were playing along to a rock song. Jeff has enthusiasm for what he teaches, and so much patience. It’s harder than it looks, but Jeff does an amazing job keeping the student engaged. Would highly recommend Jeff’s instruction for any age group hoping to pick up a new skill!"
