"Excellent luthier and guitar repair technician! Bernie has repaired and tuned-up most of my guitars; acoustic and electric. I first came to his shop in 2013 when in Southern California, and had him fix a 1992 American Standard Strat that I had modified and didn't like after a while. He rewired to original design, dressed and polished frets (also rounded the ends), cut a new bone nut, and set-up the guitar so it sounded wonderul. Even my Trem that was set to float, stayed in tune with normal use. All for a surprisingly great price! The next big job was my 1943 000-18 Martin inherited from my Uncle who bought it during WWII. This guitar was not playable. He was a professional Jazz player and was all over the world with it. It was banged up and not stored well after he died. It needed neck reset, refret, new tuning keys, bone nut, saddle and bridge. We also replaced the pick guard. And of course, a set-up. Bernie did a masterful job. It's a real player now! Again, the price was great for all this work. I've had other work done by Bernie on other guitars which includes normal set-ups, dress and polish frets and in one case, reposition an input jack that was damaged. When he was done, I could not tell that it was ever moved on that Gretch. If I lived in the area where Bernie is working, I would not take my guitars anywhere else! Last note: As I said earlier, Bernie is a great luthier that makes awesome necks, bodies and custom guitars. I have had one designed with the best of products and will write a review on that guitar soon. Attached pics are of the Strat and Martin that Bernie made a pleasure to play again!"
