"My year with Mary Pat reinforced my knowledge and skill in herbal medicine-making, and encouraged the recent launch of my private line of deep healing oils and salves for the nerves, muscles, and skin. Plus it provided camaraderie with a small group of like-minded, sincere, authentic people, who found themselves tripping together over threshholds to smell flowers, dig roots, and hug trees. There is nothing like studying on a real organic farm, and learning to nurture Nature with your own hands and heart! Except perhaps waking up and realizing that in that one year you've really cultivated a medicinal garden yourself, and befriended the life cycles of your plants! Or, using your own comfrey in the salve. Mary Pat is an unsung heroine who "bought the redwoods to save them from logging" which sadly is rampant in Mendo County now.
