"I have lived there for around 2 years. Overall it is such a nice place to live in, quiet neighborhood. For the price, I think this is the best deal. The people are nice- Kami is just a phone call/text away and Kayla is always there for the maintenance. Easily recommend this apartment"

"Had a good experience here, lived here for a couple years. Overall decent quality apartments for the price. Four stars is only because there is no dedicated maintenance staff - but we rarely had maintenance concerns so it didn’t affect us much at all. And the maintenance person they did use, was very nice and knowledgeable."

"Honestly I enjoyed living there, it was in a great neighborhood, also quiet. The reason I am posting a 3 star review is the last year I lived there, things really went down hill for me. The AC went out, was fixed once, then broke again (as things do). The second time it broke, it took almost 3 MONTHS to fix and it was also during the hottest months of the year: June- parts of August. I lived in an almost constant 83-85 degree climate in my apartment, had 3 large fans going at all times, my electric bill skyrocketed just so I could slightly live comfortably. I also had 2 cats that were living with me. Some days I would stay at my boyfriends house just so I could sleep comfortably and not have heat stroke. When I inquired about the AC, I got messages like "We are working on it" "We need a new part" "We've been busy" Meanwhile, Im getting crankier, feeling sicker, and suffering from massive headaches due to the heat. Finally, a window AC was put in that helped, but again, made my electric bill enormous. When my AC was finally fixed, the maintenance person would come by at random times at night, say, around 8-9pm to put it in and install it, which I found an odd time. I worked very early hours at the time and so this was inconvenient for me. Overall, I liked the place, but I still find it ridiculous that it took almost 3 months to fix something that I've seen fixed in roughly a week. Its a heath code violation to have someone living in those conditions for that long, during that kind of heated climate."

"Crown Apartments has been a home away from home for me. After beginning my residency at Mayo, I was struggling to fit into a new town and community. The manager, Kami is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the Rochester area, and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I started moving into my 2 bedroom unit, and was greeted by a cheerful maintenance man, Angel. He was the cherry on top of a great experience. Angel gave me his personal phone number, and told me not to hesitate to call if I needed anything. The complex is clean and quiet. My only issue would be that sometimes my mail gets mixed up with other tenants, and we end up having to exchange a bit, the mailman here said he has been working on it. I have a great view from my patio, and enjoy seeing the wildlife outside my window. I would definitely recommend this property to fellow co-workers and friends."

"Not too impressed with the new management company. We lived in a 2 bedroom, but recently had to transfer to a 3 bedroom. The 2 bedroom we had had just been renovated when we moved in, so it was in good condition. We aren’t sure how long the 3 bedroom had been vacant when we went to look at it, but I’m guessing a couple weeks since it was the middle of May. We wanted to get moved as soon as possible so we got started. We let the management know about a few different issues that need to be addressed. Our screen door to our patio is broken. The baseboards under the kitchen are gone, it’s extremely dirty and disgusting underneath, our cat even got into a hole down there. Luckily he came out so we duct taped the hole closed. The washing machine leaks. We have what should be a nice fridge with an ice machine, the problem is they don’t have the water turned on for the ice machine, and even then it somehow leaks. The kitchen faucet leaks. The apartment was barely cleaned when we moved in, even though it had been vacant so they should have had plenty of time to clean it. There was dirt and dust basically everywhere, it appeared as though they vacuumed the carpets and nothing more. We have been living there for over 2 weeks now, and not one of our maintenance issues has been addressed. He’s apparently always too busy with other work orders. I am absolutely appalled with the customer service and the level of care at this place, if we could afford to we would be breaking our lease and moving as soon as possible, unfortunately we are stuck here until next summer."
