"We’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times over the last few years due to its location. The rooms itself are great. We did have a few issues during our recent stay. The pool area is an absolute disaster. We called ahead before making our reservation to make sure the pool/hot tub would be available during our stay and asked the same question upon checking in. When we went to take our kids swimming, the pool was absolutely freezing cold and the hot tub was out of order. Very disappointing. There is peeling paint and rust everywhere in the pool area. My kids swam for 10-15 minutes before their lips turned purple from the temperature. The surface of the pool scratched/cut up their feet. The lounge chairs around the pool are ripped and falling apart. Definitely not safe for young children. We were told that breakfast would be served until 10am. We went down at 9:20 and the lady was cleaning everything up and putting things away. Multiple families with children came down right after us and she would not put more waffle mix in the machine because she had already cleaned it. The other options for young children were watery eggs, toast, yogurt, or cereal (Cheerios or Raisin Bran). While people were still eating, she was walking up to tables with a garbage can clearing their tables. It was very clear that breakfast was not served until 10…she was clocking out at 10. If we had stayed in our room, our visit would have been perfectly fine. If we wanted a hotel where we didn’t leave our room, it would not have cost us $100 a night."

"Room was nicely laid out. Bathroom was nice sized. Everything was clean. Location is perfect. There is a sketchy vibe though here. I didn’t feel safe. Hallway noise. I couldn’t hear other rooms, but definitely everything going on in the hallway. We faced the back of the motel and you could hear everyone outside smoking or what have you. Pool was down. It’s a nice place but it’s going to go downhill pretty quick if no one addresses things."

"We had a few issues during our stay. There was employee that was a little short with us. The pool left allot to be desired. The photos look allot better than the reality. The hot tub was hardly luke warm, and the pool was very cold. We also had a room key malfunction while we were staying here. The front desk made us a new key immediately which was appreciated. It did make us a little nervous that they didn't make us prove what room we were In they just asked our room # and created us a key. Overall still a good value for the price of a night. These are just a few things they could improve on. If you just need a place to lay your head this is a great option. Cheap and a nice hot breakfast to send you on your way!."

"I will not be staying here again. We arrived late in the evening. When I went to give my son a bath, there were little bugs in the bathtub. I took pictures of them, and we packed up and left the room. The front desk profusely apologized, and asked if I could send the photos to his phone for the general manager. He did state that he could move us rooms and move us floors away from this room. He also stated the general manager would call us in the morning (this never happened). I went over the other room with a fine-tooth comb and didn't find any of the little bugs but the paint job was terrible. The room did smell a little bit like cigarette smoke, I was unsure if it was the room or we were next to a window where people were smoking outside. I was highly disappointed I stayed at this hotel before and it was not like this, but that was a few years ago."

"I recently had the opportunity to stay at La Quinta Hotel and Suites in Rochester, and overall, it was a positive experience. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally helpful and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The check-in process was efficient, and checking out was equally smooth. The room I stayed in was well-decorated. . The mattress provided a comfortable night's sleep, and I woke up feeling refreshed. The cleanliness of the room was decent, though it could have been a bit better. Unfortunately, there were a couple of downsides to my visit. The most significant issue was the hot water in the shower, which was not hot enough to take a comfortable shower. Another aspect that could use improvement was the breakfast menu. The options were limited and of relatively low quality. I was surprised to find no fresh fruits or higher-quality breakfast items available."
