Custom Travel

"I have called and emailed them last year and again this year with no response. I gave it 3 stars because we used them in 2015 and 2018 and it was fine. But no response at all, very unprofessional!"

"Like others who tried to plan travel and had their trip cut short due to covid 19, I too planned a trip to Africa in May of this year. Obviously myself and two friends were not able to go due to South Africa's ban on US travelers. When I tried to get a refund for our airfare the owner of Custom Travel (Debbie) decided to keep a fee of $352.65/passenger while Delta was willing to give us a full refund. SERIOIUSLY! I didn't cancel the trip, Delta cancelled all flights into South Africa. In addition the country of South Africa placed a ban on all US travelers into their country. We were forced to pay over $1,000 to Custom Travel for tickets we were not able to utilize. They should have done the right thing, like most ethical business people would have done under these circumstances, and refunded the full amount of our unused ticket. We have all taken a financial hit over the last few months. Why should they be any different. They never explained to me that my ticket would not be refundable in total under any circumstance. I feel like they took advantage of me and therefore will never get my future business. Steer clear of Custom Travel."
