"Excellent place to enjoy your day. Several people walking dogs or jogging. Open grassy areas with beautiful views!"
"Walking through this large (138-acres) and lovely park, a jewel of the Milwaukee County Parks system, on the first of our weekly walks, with my friend and long-time nearby resident, I could say I knew this was one of 3 Milwaukee County parks designed by Frederick Law Olmstead who also designed New York City's Central Park. My friend told me about the 56 benches with poems about nature on them. They were installed and promoted by the Lake Park Friends 26 years ago. This is called the Frederick Law Olmstead's Poets Walk that meanders for over 4 miles and connects Newberry Blvd to Riverside Park also designed by Olmstead, along with Humboldt Park. The park is well maintained and attracts plenty of visitors, walkers, cyclists, nature lovers, picnickers, golfers, joggers. Evidence has shown that walking in nature reduces stress and instills in us a sense of calmness and I walk in nature as often as I can."
"Great place to walk and see Lake Michigan from up above. A lot of cool hidden ravines you can explore. Beautiful Lighthouse and amazing houses to see in the neighborhood."
"We didn't go into the museum/lighthouse but just walking around was beautiful!! It was very cold when we stopped by so we just went on a very quick walk to see the area, there was also a golf course very close to it."
"Beautiful park with a gorgeous view of the homes alongside the parkway trail. Great place to enjoy the outdoors and elegance of the neighborhood."
