"From the newly renovated cabin we stayed in, Maple Cabin, we enjoyed the sunrise and sunset on the lake from the deck and the living room sliding glass doors. The hosts had fantastic communication and anticipated all our needs while we were here. The highspeed internet, air conditioning, comfortably furnished, quiet and clean space made it very enjoyable to stay there. We also appreciated the use of the well stocked kitchen, which included a stove, full sized fridge, dishwasher and everything needed for cooking and serving food. On top of that, there are several places to eat out at an easy distance as well. As for being on the lake, our family really enjoyed using the kayaks and Funyaks for the kids. This family friendly place is definitely one we’ll be coming back to! This is a great place to unwind and rest."

"These wood cabins are absolutely beautiful and homey! The resort grounds are quiet and family friendly. All the cabins are newly renovated and not too close to each other for noise. Direct access to the water, with a shallow area right by the lake narrows. We LOVED our time there! Family run, and the owners are incredibly welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend!!"

"Hard to believe this is our 30th year at Nystrom's Resort! Our grand kids now love it as much as our children did, and still do. The fact that they kept coming all through their high school years, without ever asking to bring friends along, speaks volumes. They cared as much as we did about it being a special family time. Just a wonderful place to relax and decompress; especially if you seek peace and quiet. We love Big Lake Chetac, which offers a great variety of fishing; from panfish to large gamefish. The Nystrom's treat us like family and work hard to give us a great experience. They keep the facilities well-maintained and have made some nice improvements and upgrades over the years. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would!"
