"I can't even give one star to this business but I have to so that I can post this review! We booked a cabin two weeks ago through VRBO, were charged over $1,000 deposit and were just told by North Country Vacation Rentals that a past customer wants the rental the same weekend we booked it for! I completely understand if they booked it upon departure but obviously it was not since both VRBO and AIRBNB websites showed it available for our dates. Poor customer service, never called and didn't return my call. Unprofessional!"

"Rented a large spacious cabin via AirBNB. The cabin was very clean, well kept and the photos were smaller than the experience - the cabin was huge! Our family had a fantastic time near Iron River and even skipped excursions to hang out and laugh with each other at the cabin. Thank you for giving us a fabulous family memory."

"The New Management of North Country Vacation Rentals were a pleasure to do business with. We stayed at Deer Trail Lodge the last few nights in Unit 3. It was clean and had everything we needed for a stay. Really Liked the beds and shower was great! Nice and warm with a lot of DVD's if you don't want to watch the Satelite TV."

"We booked a cabin rental for my boyfriend's birthday weekend/4 wheeler trip. The cabin was nice and cozy however the downstairs bathroom shower did not drain and the toilet wasn't working. No big deal, we spent very little time at the cabin anyways. Basically just slept there. We called to inform them of this. Someone came to fix while we were gone four wheeling and a woman called and left a nasty message. Apparently they had looked through all of our things and stated by the looks of all of our belongings we had more guests than allowed, and if we didn't have that many guests we didn't need to be using that downstairs bathroom. I tried calling back several times and tried emailing with no response. That message totally ruined my entire day. They decided to charge an extra $125 to my debit card. Plus they charge a $60 cleaning fee but require you to sweep, vacuum, remove garbage, strip bedding, wash and put away all dishes etc.. Won't be coming back or recommending this company to anyone."
