"I was so excited to start private Catholic School in person since my school had gone remote since March 2020. Virtual learning might have been keeping Me and my family safer during a public health crisis. But it has made it exponentially harder for me to stay motivated and learn. My online classes were heavy, repetitive and devoid of student conversation. My grades have dropped and I missed my friends. So after my summer I go take a test at st Raymonds Catholic school. Just so Mrs. Rodarte the school principal can say that Im not smart enough and that I should continue in public school! I love going to mass at saint Raymonds, I was baptized there and also did my first communion there, my family does the online giving as well. We are sad to part with this church. But I now go to Catholic school somewhere else. Thanks a lot!"
"Went here for 2/3 of my 7th grade year. There was a reason why I left. I got a better education at public schools than here."
"I had put my 3 boys in this school thinking I had made the right choice not only did I like the fact that its private but also because I wanted them to know more about their religion. Monday 9/19 was their first and last day because according to the Teachers and Principal my boys aren't smart enough for this school. This is discrimination!! Im upset who wouldn't be outraged? This has impacted me and my family so much. My kids didnt even get a chance to do anything. It was their first day in a new school!! New people, new everything ... what did these teachers wanted? My boys to know exactly what they were teaching, have the equipment they needed? we didn't get a list of what they needed until the end of that Monday afternoon. My husband took them school shopping. This is so upsetting! I had to tell my kids in the most kindest way so I wouldn't hurt them or make them feel some type of way. I'm hurting for them and it really does ache my heart knowing that this is a Catholic school were God is and they think its okay to just say "we dont think this is the right school for your kids" God will provide and he will guide us through this hard times. Thank you kindergarten teacher, 1st grade teacher, 5th grade teacher and Principal for the short time you all gave our kids. They are smart enough!! Just an FYI βΊ God bless."
""Mommy, if Mrs. Garvey were to have yelled at me the way she yelled at Sofia, I would have cried..." That is what my daughters classmate said about my FIVE year old daughter. I thought my family and I had put this behind us, but after recently speaking with a parent also going through issues with this school, she mentioned that her daughter said this a couple of days after we left that school. The joy my daughter had when we told her she was going to another school still resonates with me, but knowing the headache, anxiety and stress my 5 years old went through still breaks my heart. I really felt the need and duty as a parent to let people know the experience my family and I had with this school. I know that perhaps other children are having great experiences, but knowing first hand what our child went through is one child too many. No child should be broken down to the point of uncontrollable anxiety and fear towards going to school, and knowing that after we voiced our concerns to administration and other parents are now having similar concerns really makes me feel that they clearly did not listen. Do your due diligence before you commit to a school like this. Perhaps the private school concept at a fraction of the price as compared to other private schools, seems enticing, but as we saw first hand, the emotional and academic well being of a child is not worth it. I really hope something changes within that school."
"As a former alumni of this school, I was more than happy to send my son here! When your child needs the extra help, The teachers and staff are MORE than willing to help you or your child out in any way they can. The tuition is very affordable and the lowest in the archdiocese while still remaining one of its most accomplished schools academically."
