"I bought an arm rest for Preacher curl but after a few days the fabric ripped, probably due to a sharp wooden edge. I contacted Hoist through their dealer here in Ottawa (Fitness Depot ) and within 10 days I received a new one directly from California. I have one one of their benches too and I just love it. "I special ordered a Hoist Functional Trainer back in December from a local gym equipment dealer. One of the critical components was defective and had to be replaced and I also received a pair of defective strap handles. I doubt this was a shipping or storage issue as the component's metal frame was bent without any scratches. In Hoist's defense, they did make good on a replacement, but it took four weeks instead of the one week initially promised. Additionally, their reviews on their website are somewhat rigged. I posted a negative review of the product due to the lack of quality control, but the review was never posted, and any product reviews that they do allow are 5 star and positive. In retrospective, I probably would have been happier to purchase a functional trainer from a home retail brand directly (ex. Inspire Fitness). I went with Hoist expecting commercial level quality. The equipment itself seems solid, but their quality control is lacking."

"I am the owner of HOIST system the Model is the 440! Over the years when much younger. This was the ideal work horse. I used it with my buddy and my step son used it. I have had often guys coming by asking where I got it. I actually got if from a friend as gift. And I always ask myself. Does Hoist even know how many people walked in my garage over the years, liking what it offer and looked for it. Its a shame when a company makes something and they have no idea, that this set up would be great to have today. Think what would happen if "Levies" got rid of the "501" jeans ? Its simple with a button up and looks great makes a guys butt to looking great. The 440 should be sold as "Hoist Classic" with a slogan, "Every Pump is Power".. Just went to my storage. "Its a Well Made Machine".... If you make another 440 make they typical color used then and a total black one. Sell the 440 3 times a year as your promotional item. My step daughter said, girls should have the option to have the black with Pink bench seat and back.. This would be called "The 440 Classic" Now you have a free promotional item. Find a blonde for the Black Classic with Pink padding. And the Standard paint for Police, Border Patrol, Lifeguards, High School and VA hospitals, Youth camps, RV Parks and even prisons. Let everyone to know about "The 440 Classic" !! I have a few marketing ideas, that would help your SALES."
