"I was having severe left chest pains and I ended up here twice in the same week and I was left suffering in pain and dismissed with nothing and they did not do any further diagnosis. They did X-ray, bloodwork, and checked my heart both times. Like obviously something is wrong so why couldn't they do CT scan or MRI to further check this isn't something life threatening or something severe. They said all is good there and to rest and take ibuprofen. I was left for like 4 long hours in the room both times as me being the only patient there and I can here them all in the front desk on their phones and giggling and very unprofessional while I'm left in the room with a needle stuck in my arm and suffering in pain. It is very sketchy how a hospital is completely empty with no one there. Don't go here. They are very dismissive and do not care to find out what is causing the health issue and most likely don't care to let you die. I'm still suffering in pain for the past 2 weeks and they would not give me anything for it so I can be more comfortable. They just guess what I may have. Yeah I can Google things too! First doctor said is probably lung issues to rest and take ibuprofen. Second one said it was probably acid reflux and a gi issue and gave me GI meds and he was very rude. How the heck you know is anything and give me meds when it could be doing more harm than good without actually further diagnosing the pain area. That doctor was a Smart mouth, know it all, and was not very polite either and was also just on his phone giggling in the front desk. I was never showed my own x-ray and for all I know they probably didn't even see it nor care. I'm stuck in pain and I had a hard time trying to get a referral for a specialist that can check why I'm having severe pain since follow up doctors for new patients are all on wait list. This health system is ridiculous! Your job is to care for people and make sure they are comfortable and pain free."
"Horrible mannered staff and do very little to help. The doctor gave us the labs back and didn’t explain it at all. We came in for a sickness and did not even get fluids (which they do have). Doctor didn’t know how to answer questions that were very basic. Would stay far away from this place if possible."
"No one likes having to go to the ER for any reason. However whenever I have visited this ER it’s always a pleasurable (as much as it can be) experience. The nursing staff upon intake are always friendly, and helpful. The ER doctor is super informative and thorough when giving his diagnosis and steps moving forward. Even the director takes time out of her busy day to check in to see how I’m feeling. It’s just a great feeling knowing that whenever life throws a curveball, the team here always have your back."
"Extremely upset with my last 2 visits. Normally I’m in and out and everyone is so nice and helpful. This was not the case this time. I went in Wednesday the 15th for swollen tonsils and puss (strep obviously) they tested me and everything was negative so I was sent home. I came back the following day in way worse condition knowing that this was only going to get worse. Again they tested me for strep and claimed it came back negative. Dr. Miller advised me just take ibuprofen and that it wasn’t strep. Repeating myself I told him I’m sure it is the early stage I’m just trying to catch it before it gets worse. He said “well the Indians and the Eskimos get strep 100x worse than your case” I’m not giving you an antibiotic take ibuprofen. Here I am 2 days later at a different emergency room doctor took 1 look at me and said that’s definitely strep. Gave me a steroid instantly. It’s a shame this could have been taken care of sooner. But because the Indians get it worse it’s fine ? I was fuming."
"If I could leave zero stars I absolutely would. I came in with my 3 children because they aren't feeling good got flu covid swab tested and had to wait over 2 hours for results and no doctor came to let us know. I had to ask the desk for our results. It wasn't even busy they are understaffed and don't seem to care. I do not recommend this hospital at all. I would much rather stay in waukegan and go to Vista on Sheridan rd."
