"No breakfast. They list free breakfast on website. Not true. Otherwise average room. Clean with some scuffs. Shower head is very low. At 5'7 I had to bend to get head wet. Several restaurants close. Good value as long as you don't have high expectations."

"I stayed here a couple of times over the past summer. A couple of my friends stay here frequently, one hot day those friends bought themselves a room and payed for my room. the following day I was gonna pay for another night for my room and friend's room. The office staff wouldn't let me because my friends weren't there and they don't allow people to pay for rooms for others, even tho it was completely fine for my friends to do it the night before. She also wouldn't let me pay for another night on just the room i was in, she made me and my small children, and my grandma stand outside in 97 degree weather until they were done cleaning the room and then I could pay for another night. It's so backwards and stupid how we had to do that. And yes, we didn't have anywhere else to go, and she wouldn't let us sit and wait in the lobby where it was airconditioned. at the time my kids were just 4 and 1 and we were forced to sit outside in that blistering heat"

"It’s not like you could call this place a dump. But holes in the bedding? One cup at the basin? Pike of vomit in the lot for at least 12 hours? No one at the counter when we left, either. We’d used a free night earned through stays at other (much better!) properties on a road trip. This was chosen for its high rating on another site. I had to wonder where that rating came from"

"Eau Claire hotels are extremely expensive in the summer so I tried a cheaper hotel. This place was much cheaper. It is older but appeared well maintained. Staff seemed friendly. My only complaint was there was far too much smoking allowed all around the grounds. My room had a bit of an odor which seemed like a combination of tobacco smoke and pesticide. Update: I stayed here a second time and realized that the sound insulation between rooms is poor. I was closer to the road and had loud neighbor which both contributed to a less restful stay."
