Wakota Inn & Suites

"It's a budget hotel, I get that. But, I did expect a working toilet. Tried to flush and the toilet did nothing. Took the top of the tank off and discovered someone had attempted to fix the broken flush arm - which is a $3 part with a paperclip...seriously.... It was late when we arrived, and my daughter was already asleep when we discovered the broken toilet. To flush, I had to remove the tank cover and pull up on the chain. The backplate on the tub faucet came flying off when you turned on the shower. The dead bolt would not latch on the door. It was freezing in the room, dispite turning up the thermostat. I don't think the thermostat worked. They had toast for their breakfast, but no butter. The orange juice was completely watered down. I was the only person eating breakfast, so it was not like it was busy. When I told the person at the desk my complaints, they said they would let maintenance know. Doesn't do me any good as we only stayed one night and I was checking out. Did not offer me a price break or an apology for a room without a functioning toilet! I will not stay here ever again."

"Staff was very helpful with everything. It was awesome to see staff taking pride in their work. Especially when working face to face with customers, which is almost an unknown anomily since the pandemic outbreak if COVID-19. The rooms were clean. The linnens were also clean; freshly changed out along with the plastic cups, provided coffee cups, supplied soap, conditioner, body wash, bar soap, one make up remover cloth, more coffee packets were provided, also. Id have to say, I was pleasantly surprised as to how inviting this hotel/motel is once you get through the doors, that is. Treated my family like it was their own family. Couldnt ask for better friends. Ever."

"Will never stay there again. Staff was polite and willing to accommodate. BUT, beds were way too high. Had to be an acrobat to get on them. Could not sit on edge to do anything. My husband is 6'1" and he couldn't get on comfortably. Nice laminate floors. But the were slippery and cold on feet. Also, free breakfast was only til 9am. NEVER AGAIN!!!!"
