"If you were a fan of the wonderful movie Top Gun in the '80s you will love visiting this landmark.. it is right across the street and inside is a small pie shop where you can get individual hand pies sit on the worker chairs on the porch and look out over the ocean. There is also a replica of Tom Cruise his motorcycle from the movie in the front of the building you can pose with four pictures!"
"The Top Gun House is now serving High Pies! Individual-sized pies with ice cream centers or with a syrup topping are just the right size to have room to try a couple of flavors! This is definitely a place to see and experience if you are a fan of Top Gun anything! There are many Top Gun parafanalia all around the house, including the motorcycle Tom Cruise rides in the movie, out front, available for the perfect picture! I'm glad we made the stop. It was worth seeing! Fun fact: If you remember, in the movie, the home was located on a corner lot. The home has been moved a little ways down the street from its original location. This had us scratching our heads! You're welcome!"
"So much fun to see the house used in the film Top Gun. It has become a quaint pie shop that sells hand pies. The film memorabilia was neat to see and you can sit on a replica of the motorcycle from the film. The hand pies are good, just very small. And there was the distinct smell of weed around the house making it difficult to want to stay around and look more."
"WOW!!! What a trip! My husband and I went to San Diego on a whim and had a TOP GUN day/date. We did all things top gun related. We went to go check out Charlie's house (top gun house). It is absolutely the cutest! It has so much charm inside and out! The house now serves as a bakery with a beautiful view of the beach across the street. We didn't get a chance to go in and taste the famous High pie due to the fact we went on a day it was closed. Just means we get to go back again. Yay!!! Make sure to check their hours. They change with our seasons. There are so many spots to take pictures. Don't be shy walk up those steps and feel the history. Enjoy all the beauty and creating your own adventure. See ya soon Charlies house.... Top gun house"
"Enjoyed the homemade pies, a little small. Would have enjoyed a bigger size for the price point. It's still delicious, though. Great photo opportunity for those who are Top Gun fans. Be sure to Google the history of this building. Originally, the train depot, with the actual Graves house being a separate out building located behind the depot building. This depot building is the only 1 of 4 that was saved during the demo of the area for the current buildings. The home being actually moved 1 block south of its original location. And, during filming, all signs were removed (no parking, etc), and sand added to hide the curbs."
