Reviews of Black Star Canyon Falls Trailhead
"Beautiful place parking is free Bring plenty of water and light snacks this hike is not easy and get ready to get wet as trail starts from creek. You might get confused with the trail follow the red ribbon markings."
"This is an extremely hard hike, especially after the rain so make sure you wear hiking shoes or boots with good grip. Also recommend to bring 2 L or more of water and snacks. It’s around 13 K round-trip hike so start early!"
"No water right now. The trail is easily lost, I was bouldering rocks to try to find it. 3miles at the start of the trail. Pack water. No facilities in the area, ladies."
"Just incredible hike. Tough hike though! . It’s too dense and had to help one hiker who broke her feet on way to the hike. Had to airlift the women. So don’t try to do this hike alone. Just try do this hike in group or at least 2. There are quite a few boulders and few water streams to pass. There are places where you have just rope and fewer support .Better to wear waterproof hiking shoe .Carry some snacks,IV, energy drink -I recommend personally. There are no reception from the entrance to your phone. Pretty intense hike."
"The trail is intended for experienced hikers. It is approximately 4.5 miles from the parking area to the breathtaking waterfall. Prepare to navigate challenging climbs and traverse rocky terrain along the way. Please note that there are no restroom facilities in the park, which may seem unusual. It is advisable to avoid drinking liquids before your hike. I personally made the mistake of not researching the trail beforehand and wearing inappropriate footwear, that made the hiking more difficult. However, the beauty of the waterfall makes the entire journey worthwhile. The round trip covers a total distance of 7 miles, and typically takes about 4-5 hours to complete."
