"Deer trail lodge is a great getaway. Our cabin was nice and clean. It is easy to find, and a short scenic drive from Iron River. It is quiet and peaceful. There is a beach, boats, kayaks, a playground set, swing benches near the lake, fire pits, grills, and some short little hiking trails. This place is VERY dog friendly, which is awesome! The owners went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. I didn't read all of the notes in the listing about bringing our own towels. But that was on me. If you want a quiet, affordable, clean, peaceful, and dog friendly vacation, this is the place for you! Highly recommend!❤️"

"This is a super cute little place to spend the weekend at. We were up for the fat bike birkie and we were about 30 mins away. We stayed here in the winter so be aware that if you don't have 4-wheel drive be careful."

"The cabin looks like the owners are maintaining it well. However, beds, tables, chairs, and futon all look like hand-me-downs. For the money spent, they could add value. The place does come with a web enabled Blu-ray player and TV. If your cellphone gets data service (mine did not), you could watch streaming content. The view was great, access to the dock was excellent, and the sunsets were amazing. I would stay again."

"Perfect spot in the North Country to get away and relax. Clean, affordable and lots of amenities. Love the row boats available to take out on the lake. A bald eagle was hunting over the lake swooping down to grab fish, awesome sight to see."

"Our family comes here every year and we absolutely love it. Cute and clean cabins, beautiful lake, nice beach. You can fish right off the dock or use the fishing boat that comes with the cabin. Lots of bluegills and crappie for the kids to catch, northern and bass in there too. There’s a paddle boat, a couple kayaks, and a couple canoes to use, as well as tons of beach toys. Great location for day trips up to the North Shore, Hayward, Madeline Island etc. Close by is the Delta Diner, which is always delicious, and a little ice cream shack. We always look forward to coming up to Deer Trail Lodge!"
