"Great place for child abuse! “Treatment” doesn’t require you to get more treatment."

"Former employee. Elated to hear this place is closing. Horrible treatment of the residents. State laws broken regularly. Even the ECPD hated dealing with the Eau Claire Academy. Actively saw leadership, assuming directed by Chuck Anger who was in charge, fake what treatment was like when State and insurance regulators toured the facility. Saw this many times and it was a disgusting show of inappropriateness. Staff treatment was even worse. “Labor shortage” was cited but honestly no one wants to work for $8 an hour to get hit, spit and verbally abused for 14 hours. Yes that’s right. I often had to work 14 hours alone with 7+ residents while I was begging for bathroom breaks from leadership. Very common. Work comp injury was not covered either. Had to work with stitches in my foot. That’s my fault but another example of a company who preys on young college kids and disadvantaged adults. So happy for the staff that can break free and hopefully land somewhere. I acknowledge mental health services are badly needed and I hope the residents get the help they need but this was not the place for that."

"this place was extremely difficult and unethical, for you and your childs safety never place them in such a terrible place. Its low funded, the staff scream at children even though it can be a trigger, the therapist dont do their job, and they dont give much for the resident to do during treatment"

"Awesome I want to thank Chuck anger for his support 100% on helping us through the the rough times. It wasn't a job it's what we had to take care of everyone had thier part. It's I was happy to go to every day. it was like a family. In somewhat. I never had a job like this we all stuck together. The maintenance crew.. and the cooks John rather, chuck Johnson, Kelly O'Connor, great people that have been here for a long time. Will be missed, o Nancy balish, Erickson,"

"I was there for a year. And some staff were very helpful but most of the core staff were very abusive and when complains were filled but nothing happened to the staff. All they did was put a staff and resident restriction but the staff still kept on engaging with my crisis and being by me in general. One grown staff made out with a underage resident. And repeatedly staffs gave underage residents drugs and alcohol. This place definitely needs to turn around. Also the academy does not respect most of the staffs' schedules. Some wanted to be part time because they are still finishing school but the place always abused the staffs schedules and made them work over 12-14 hours because a lot of staff quite. But I definitely meet got help from a couple of staff. My favorites are Becky from CW, Past staff from Espen Amber, Going to quit staff Amber from poplar, Ashley from unit 14, Zack the core staff, Collie, Kendra the school core staff, the lunch staff I've worked with Dave, Kathy, Penny,Sherry, the other two males. My #1 Favorite staff is Chuck the school core staff!"
