The building was closed and tours don't appear to be scheduled, you can explore the grounds and peer through the windows. To enter the backyard garden you go through an opening (unmarked in front of the building). It's worth a quick stroll if you're interested in a historic site."

"The interior was closed when I walked by on the Path of History, but the gardens are very beautiful and peaceful. There are a couple placards posted so you can pick up a little info even without going inside."

"Charming building where Robert Louis Stevenson lived for three and a half months in 1879. There’s a lovely, quiet garden in the back that’s great for a peaceful sit down. The major downside is that the building is open only April through October, that too only on Saturdays, and that too only 1-4pm. Nevertheless, worth a visit if you love Stevenson and wish to have a blissful hour in a nice backyard garden."
