"Went during winter with my school, it was just a bunch of adults trying to wave liability wasn't fun."
"The happiest place on earth!! I grew up going to both family camp as well as on my own and I have THE best memories. My now 10 yo daughter has gone to 2 sessions this summer and WOW. So much has been added but so many things remain the same. The staff are incredible. SO MANY staff members that welcome you with open arms. My daughter LOVED her counselors each session and all the other staff on hand. She loved the food. Water activities. Trail riding. Wall climbing. Sports. Crafts. The cabins are updated with THICK mattresses. Bathrooms are great. It’s beautiful scenery. This is true camp at an affordable price. It’s all your camper needs. My entire family (including my brothers and their families driving very long distances) are coming to family camp this year where we are joining. We just wish we could do winter camp but we will be out of town. I’m so happy to pass this tradition down to my daughter and visit to remember so many experiences I had myself."
"Have gone here a few times for wilderness scouts (previously indian guides) for overnight & weekend camping. Accommodations are simple but adequate and the food provided was quite delicious. The site is clean and well maintained. Directors and staff are helpful and quite patient with the kids, especially given there's 100+ campers running about. Activities included a wall climb, high rope course, archery, canoeing and scavenger hunt. There was fishing but it was a stick with a string and only bread given as bait. The one frustrating issue was the reasoning for the pier usage. Couldn't use one pier for fishing so we piled 9 kids on a pier while the other was empty. Overall a very enjoyable experience but if you plan to fish, bring your own equipment and a little patience."
"At a school trip I stayed here with my class and I have good and bad opinions. The food was good for the most part and they gave us a good amount of food, I also had made fun memories with my friends. Even though I had some good memories I disliked this place more than I liked it. The cabins were okay but the bunk beds were terrible, the beds were foam covered in a greasy plastic sheet which was very uncomfortable to sleep with. The camp itself seemed very boring with not much to do so they loaded us with activities that started to get stressful after a while. They tried making us believe that there are six inch gorillas that roam around the camp and there was a 50 foot long fish known as Big Momma Jomma but of course they could not make me believe those lies which gave me something to laugh at. Overall If I had the option to stay here again I would not."
"My son attended camp here this summer for the first time. I was hesitant on having him stay for the 2 weeks at first since this was his first time away from home. Well I am so glad I listened to Jeff who said if your child says they want to go for 2 weeks then do it. He had a fantastic time. So many memories of fun times. He learned so much. He wants to return next summer. Thank you to the wonderful staff."
