Reviews
"This park is huge, and beautiful! There is a ton of history packed in these hills. There’s a ton of paved accessible paths, a fishing pond, playgrounds. There is so much ground to be covered, and so many paths to walk. You could easily spend multiple days here exploring."
"I only stopped to take in a sunrise after a not so good appointment for my father @ Mayo. If you find peace and strength in nature, check this place out. They have beautiful trails, a warming lodge and more from what I can tell. Great cross country ski trails too. Mayo is such a great medical institution, but can be overwhelming. This helped so much, even if only for a pause to catch my breath."
"I think this is the best place to visit in Rochester. There are a lot of great trails here and a nature center for the kids. It looks like they also have a cave here and provide tours for the cave twice a month on Sundays. The view of the pond that they have near the visitor center is beautiful and it looks like people were fishing from the pond. They let you keep sunfish and crappies but you have to return everything else you catch. I would love to come visit here again in the near future!"
"This park offers such a variety of enjoyable walks and hikes. The terrain varies as well as the types of activities you can do here. You can run, hike, ride, fish, bird watch, catch insects, and more. They offer so many classes in the park it is a must to take part in at least a few. The bird banding was unmatched. My daughter loved the insect class and we both loved the butterfly class. Stop into the nature center if you have a chance. The history of this park is a must, take a tour and learn."
