"1. Our car was broken into while it was parked in the carport. The complex doesn’t care. They told us to call the police. Of course, no one was caught. We don't feel safe here. 2. Laundry machines rarely work properly. The complex doesn’t care. They told us to call the number on the laundry machines but they don’t care either. What a waste of time. 3. Very noisy. The single pane windows do not block outside noise. The carports are under the building and some cars come back very late at night and some cars leave very early in the morning, and we can hear everything, even though we lived on the 2nd floor. The structure of the building transmits all the sound from the neighbors. We were on the 2nd floor, but we could hear the creaking floor and the bathroom fan from our neighbors. It’s worse that one neighbor wasn’t considerate. 4. The single pane windows are not insulated. When it’s cold, we have to keep the heater running. When it’s hot, we have to keep the AC running. The heat/cold goes straight through the windows. 5. The heater at both pools haven’t been working for a long time. Pros: The floor plan is good and the interior of the apartment is ok."

"Very old apartment. Very thin walls and ceiling. I hear all the times footsteps, neighbors conversations and much more of their private intimate activities that were offensive for me to hear. I should not be hearing such things in my house. Terrible place for working from home. Avoid!"

"Terrible complex... overcharged us for painting fees when the place was poorly painted when we got there. They took our deposit and charged on top of that so they could paint their apartment, even though we only stayed for three months and left the walls exactly how we found them. Furthermore, there was a blinking light in the parking lot for months that would effect all people with windows facing it through the night (including myself). Will never stay in this complex again and highly recommend against it."

"I lived in Marina Playa apartments but I had to leave the apartment early due to personal reasons. I didn't expect that I will have such a horrible move-out experience with the management. Management is highly unresponsive and non- cooperative. I would like everyone to be aware that the roommate change fees is $750. ($375 each for adding a person and removing a person) plus application fees of all the residents. The charges are completely unfair and unreasonable. During these difficult times, it's a burden to pay $750. Save your time and stay far away from this place. There are much nicer communities in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale. Update: The lease specify $375 roommate/occupancy change fee. Management here charges twice for adding and removing a person."

"Marina Playa Staff provide quick response to all my service requests. Recently, I thought my washer was almost dead, technician Roy, responded immediately and fixed the same. He has been friendly, courteous and professional. We've been living here since a year now and for us it has been a great experience.The community is really beautiful, well maintained and peaceful. The community amenities are solid. The work out rooms are open 24/7 and are rarely crowded. Pool area is lovely. The entire staff always greets with smile and are very helpful to our needs. Overall, I am pleased to stay here."
