"Don't do it. There are so many other options in the East Bay, and this area is NOT worth it for the price they are charging. There have been multiple power outages (during which you cannot access and/or leave the parking garage or elevators) as well as break-ins the last few months with no announcement/alert from management. Additionally, my bike was stolen from the secure bike storage room and I was simply told to file a police report. As far as the neighborhood- you cannot safely walk or drive around the area- even in the daylight. I am only giving a 2nd star for the fantastic maintenance crew."

"JADA the property manager is extremely rude. Very unprofessional to work with. She's needs to be talk to or written up by R&N management. I will be calling R&N management also and letting them know about her unprofessional work ethic."

"Live here for 2 years and for the most part it was good. The community was really nice as well as the maintenance staff (Rick and Mo). The grounds were kept cleaned and so was the gym. In the first year Stephanie was really helpful and it felt like she did everything in her power to make us feel welcomed through that first year. Second year was a little different. Management switched up a few times while we were there and there were a few issues that popped up in our last year. For the most part they were good and attentive but I felt like a few situations could have been handled a differently, especially when renewing our lease and situations that occurred with other tenants/complaints. I feel like having good positive interactions with the tenants can lead to a great community. Another thing was the move out charges. If you’re not a professional cleaner yourself, consider your deposit gone. I understand that this is in the fine print but imagine paying all that portion of your hard earned money for that amount of time just for a roof over your head and then having extra charges at the end of your lease that in my opinion are unavoidable. Overall, nice place to live and enjoyed a good amount of my time there. I don’t write this review to discourage anyone from living there or the staff. I just wanted to leave an honest opinion to make room for improvement. I hope this finds whoever is reading it well. I appreciate the time spend there. Thank you. Best,"

"The management staff here (I worked with Gina and Stephanie) are fantastic! It started with the tour that I had with Stephanie. She was attentive, thorough, answered all my questions, personable, and an all around great person! From there, Stephanie touched base with me after the tour to see if I had any questions, made sure that I knew what promotions I was eligible for (she did this during the tour as well), as well as when they would expire. This really went a long way in convincing me to rent at Town29, that extra "above and beyond" customer service. From there Stephanie walked me through the application process, broke down how the concessions would work, and ensured that I was able to get all of the documentation on time, so as not to miss out on a single concession (which I appreciated). Gina, the property manager, was just as personable and helpful as Stephanie. Gina was very responsive via phone and email, great attitude whenever I spoke with her, and an all around pleasant person. I move into the unit in about 2 weeks and I can honestly say that I am looking forward to it mainly because the management team is really great. If my experience at the unit is even half as good as my experience with Gina and Stephanie, I am in for some smooth sailing ahead. So many times people forget that great customer service doesn't start when the lease is signed, it starts at the first point of contact. Gina and Stephanie have it in spades."

"Predatory, money-grabbing management. Do not rent there, and if you do, keep a budget for move-out. My wife and I lived in this building for about two years, and were relatively satisfied with our stay (besides a few noise issues and the occasional break-ins, either in the building or on vehicles parked nearby). Things went sour when we moved out. We left our apartment a month and a half before the end of our lease and let management know with a 30-day notice. We figured that in the best case scenario, the unit would be re-rented soon and we would be off the hook, and that in the worst case, we would just end up paying the remaining 1.5 months. What ended up happening is that the unit was not re-rented before the end of our lease, unsurprisingly given that management were offering 2-month free discount on all available units but ours, and so we were on the hook for the remainder of the rent. In addition, we were charged a substantial fee for early termination, which we never received any justifications for, despite numerous request (all I could get was some legalese that we could be charged “for all costs incurred by Management as a result of the early termination”, without explanation of what those costs were). We were also charged for the discount we received on our term lease, which I would not be surprised about if it weren't for the fact that we are paying rent for the entirety of our lease! In the end, the management ended up charging us MORE for leaving early than we would have paid staying on our lease until the end. It goes without saying, but this is to be added to them keeping our deposit (which is par for the course), and charging us for a fridge replacement because the stainless steel door appears slightly scratched depending on what angle you look at it from."
