"The property never returned my deposit since 2021 . Looking to take the property to small claims court . Per CA law they had 30 days, it’s been 2 years . The property never contacted me back after numerous attempts to reach out . I left the apartment in perfect shape & I have video evidence . Worst place to live"
"If I could give It no stars I would. Laundry rooms didn't work for 7 out of the 8 months I lived here. Office people were never there on site so if I needed anything done to my apartment I basically just had to deal with whatever issues I had, and trust me there were a lot of issues with my apartment. The door looked like it had been kicked in before me moving in there. The sliding mirror closet doors were off the railing and I was told they couldn't fix it because they don't make those railings anymore. The cupboards were literally peeling off. The wood was obviously rotted and yet they never bothered replacing them. Their solution was to just glue it back down. The kitchen light only worked sometimes and whenever I complained about it, they said they knew what the issue was but still never came to fix it. The bathroom fan didn't work when we moved in and when they did "fix" it, all they did was scrape the rust off of the fan. It worked but was extremely loud and obnoxious. Underneath the kitchen sink there was a giant hole, and next to said hole was a roach trap from the 1990s. How does that even happen? Also underneath the kitchen sink the wood was completely water damaged, they never addressed that problem. There had clearly been holes punched in the walls in multiple spots around the apartment. The maintenance employee Sean, was never of any help. It was very obvious he knew NOTHING about fixing apartments. I'm not sure how he got the job in the first place. The neighbors below us were extremely dirty and rude. They would collect trash and leave it under the bushes of our windows. Also they would put their kids peed on mattress outside of our windows to air dry. Also would leave clearly peed on sheets on the bushes to dry. Management was made aware of this with photographic evidence and they NEVER did anything. Never even had a conversation with them. That made it so uncomfortable to live there that we ended up terminating our lease early just so we could leave ASAP. This place is not worth 1900$ a month for the quality that I was given. Apartment 118 needs to be condemned. And the management and ownership needs to be changed because they clearly do not care. Living here was a nightmare, and I would never recommend anybody to ever live here."
"My experience here at Cambridge Gardens has been great especially with the wonderful help from Sherry in the front office. From the day of signing the lease to the day of me leaving (unfortunately), Sherry has been there to help tremendously. The apartments are calm, affordable, and well-kept so it can be perfect if it fits your needs!"
"Got denied on October 4th, it is now October 15th, I have yet to be refunded my holding deposit, I was told it was mailed in the form of a check to my current address. The payment was taken by card so not sure why the funds wouldn’t have been refunded the same way. I still haven’t received the check and no one even verified with me if this was even a good mailing address for me. I’ve chopped the $100 up as a loss, every time I reach out I get little to no help, I asked for a phone number to talk to someone, they give me the property managers number which is weird because when I email I was told there was an accounting team that cuts the check and the property only puts in the request, but I call anyways and get no answer, pointless run around, you guys clearly need the money more than I do, even though I’m the one needing to find a place to live. Why even take holding deposits pre approval/pre-denial if you guys can’t quickly and effectively give them back. The manager eventually called me and helped me get it all sorted out"
