Derks Park

"Fun playground! My 11 year old son gave the playground a 4 out of 5 stars. He said he would like more modern equipment to climb. It is well kept. It is a good size. I saw the younger kids having a blast. There are benches and some tables on the perimeter. There is a cement circular path around the playground. The playground has a recycled tire ground. There are green areas around for free play. We went in the fall so I did not take note if there was shade. It is near but not right next to Target, Starbuck's, McDonalds, and Walgreens."

"No shade by the main park. Park is small and my kids are almost too old for it- ages 7 & 9. Better for 2-5 year old in my opinion. Lots of room to run around though so bring a ball or frisbee"

"Surprised by what this park had to offer. Good size field, playground with swings and unique sets of monkey bars, restrooms and picnic tables, a pavilion, and plenty of shade surrounding the park. Good spot for the kids."

"Nice combination of equipment that has been well maintained. Ample seating with adjacent restrooms. Play surface is deeply padded and in excellent condition as well. Definitely one of Appleton's better playgrounds."

"Another great park in the Fox Cities! Modern, safe for all ages and has a turf ground. Has a pavillion for parties as well. Very clean."
