"Tara is by far the best property manager we’ve had. She is kind and takes care of any issues so quickly. The apartments are pretty newly renovated so all appliances work great. Other than some issues with noise (that Tara usually can take care of) and issues with people’s dogs using walkways and the grass as their potty and not picking up, I really can’t complain. Inconsiderate neighbors are everywhere and unavoidable, though. Other than that, it’s been lovely. I should mention though we’ve also had two cars stolen out of the parking lot. Many cars get broken into frequently and the owners refuse to put in security gates, cameras, or any type of deterrent."

"I have lived in many apartment complexes in Santee and El Cajon (and other parts of San Diego county) and Fanita Meadows has been a great place to call home. We have lived here for 2 years and it has been an enjoyable experience. They continually strive to maintain the property with vendors for the pool area, lawn and plants, cleaning the gutters, maintaining the parking area and the buildings exteriors and balconies. Pedro is the onsite maintenance person and he is always on top of any requests. The 2 bedroom floorplan is very spacious and the closets have a TON of storage! The remodel done a few years ago is great quality! Sturdy cabinets, solid appliances and beautiful countertops. Nothing like I have experiences at other complexes in the county where you can see they cut corners and used subpar quality materials. Parking can be challenging but the City of Santee recently extended the parking zone on the street so there is less red zone and more street parking. They also have garages available for rent (you may have to get on the waitlist but its worth it). The garage is HUGE!! Large enough for 2 cars and a ton of storage. Laundry is always difficult when you live in an apartment but the laundry room is open 24 hours and we always find a way to make it work. I also love the app for loading funds for laundry and have never had an issue with it not working. But I must say having Tara as the on site property manager is what truly sets Fanita Meadows apart from other complexes. Tara is so kind, attentive and a absolute gem! She is a wonderful person and we appreciate her so much! If you are looking for a quality apartment living experience, I highly recommend giving Tara a call and considering Fanita Meadows!"

"I did enjoy living here. Though, there were a few negatives in my experience. For one, doing laundry was always an inconvenience. There are only 5 washers and 6 dryers. The machines do not take quarters, the tap and swipe to pay does not work. Only the chip reader works and there were times that quarters would be jammed in the chip insert. The app for the machines also does not always work. You’d be lucky if you found an open washer that actually works. For two, the walls of the apartments are very thin. I could hear my neighbors talking next door, their alarms, and the people above us walking/running throughout their apartment. For three, people do not clean up after their dogs. There would be dog feces in the grass where “no dogs on grass” signs would be posted. There were feces on the pathways in the complex. And four, there is no guest parking, only street parking. Not too big a deal during the day but if you have guests over later in afternoon, it gets difficult to find a spot on the street. I have nothing bad to say about management, Tara is so kind and communication was always great. If I ever had a maintenance request, it was addressed and fixed quickly. Also, nothing bad to say about maintenance, Pedro is great as well."

"Omg my experience just gets worse every three months! It’s mainly the neighbors aren’t the nicest, and management that don’t do anything about it. Ive been Threaten my dogs been attacked by another dog. It’s not a dog friendly place that’s what’s weird about it. Now last night my car was Vandalized. Management says they can’t put cameras. I don’t get it they don’t want to spend any money but they sure ask to much for these toxic living apartments constantly people come dump trash . Property needs to invest on a Dog run since everyone has a dog. Security cameras and gates. Don’t feel safe ! It has been more quiet lately . Glad to add more stars . Lights were added the the car ports . Cars still get broken into. Not as bad tho ."

"This place is great! The manager Rose is always very helpful and maintenance is very fast and efficient. Pricing is very reasonable for the area. The grounds are very well kept and the pool is cleaned often. I would have given 5 stars but the patio fences are very very low so you have no privacy. It's definitely worth a look if you're in the market."
