"I honestly wish I could give 0 stars. This place is a hell hole. The staff used to be amazing, but they even had to leave after everything management has been doing. They won’t do anything about our upstairs tenants being way overly loud past 11pm all the way till 4am even past that sometimes. Especially when someone has something like brain surgery you should do something about it and not have us have to go around you straight to corporate or the cops to post an official noise complaint. And the gym or pool being closed all the time cause they can’t keep it clean or running. Or just the people in the office being extremely rude whenever you ask anything. Worst apartment complex I’ve ever lived in."

"I am a previous resident who is moving back into Countryside because I loved my experience there. While the apartments are a bit dated (carpet throughout, and white appliances in some units, though we got one with stainless steel so this is probably changing) you really get great value for the price. The location is very central for Poway and despite being close to Poway Rd the community is very quiet. The maintenance is amazing and quick to respond with lasting solutions not just band aid fixes. The office team is very friendly and is always willing to help. Janet and Susy, the property managers, definitely cares about the property and are very attentive to resident issues. Apartments are spacious, a bit hot at times but some fans fix the problem easily. Easily one of the best places to live in Poway!! I'm looking forward to living here again!"

"I can share our personal experience. We moved to Countryside Apartments before the pandemic and currently live here, because of the school that we chose for our kid. After many years living here we saw people constantly moving in and out, so there are only a few families who actually stay here for a long time. Cost has gone up and the quality has gone way down to justify picking this place over any number of other options around town. Read other comments- these are old apartments. For perspective; the windows are still single pane and there is no central AC (Poway does get hot in the summer). The walls are thin, so you will hear your neighbors next door and the outside noise constantly. The place has nice landscaping, but that comes with groundskeeping working here every day. Think loud gas powered trimmers, cutters and blowers all day, everyday. Pretty much everyone has a dog, so there is constant barking and some people are not very good at picking up after their pets. When we moved here the palace was run by a previous management team and they did an ok job. That team is gone and the "new" management refuses to help with anything you ask, they simply don't care about your concerns, and will try to avoid any responsibility. The maintenance team is great, they do a good job, but for any outside work like carpet etc., it's impossible to get approved by the management. They will not spend money once you in. That's typical, I guess . In all, they will tell you everything you want to hear before you sign/resign the lease, but after, you are on your own. That said, most people are nice and we got lucky with our next door neighbors. Take it or leave it, this is not exaggerating, it's just an honest feedback for anyone looking at this place."
