"I've lived in this complex for several years and tend to keep to myself. Lately, they seem to want to start a fuss over everything I do. First there was an issue because I listened to music without a headphone in the gym, although they had no policy on this and it's the middle of the day so there aren't many people. Then, they complain because I keep the gym door open for fresh air. They even went as far as to put notices on the gym door. Now, they're complaining when I'm outside with my cats off leash. These things would make sense where I the only person doing so, but the hypocrisy is what I have an issue with. The apartment has cats off leash roaming here and there, and I've never seen it as an issue or seen any notice sent out about this. Now when I'm out actually walking next to my cat it's suddenly an issue. Then I went to the gym the other day and it was packed. Someone or other had propped the door open, like I have done, and people were all working out all jolly and no notice was ever sent out. I'm making a note of all of these inconsistencies because I will not allow myself to be harassed here."

"I recently toured Rancho Monterey with a friend and the community was well kept and the office staff were extremely helpful with any questions we had regarding the tour. The community sits next to a golf course and seemed very quiet. Will keep the community in mind if I move in the future."

"My husband and I have lived here collectively for about 6 years. He lived in this complex for the first two years with a roommate in a 2br, and we’ve lived for about 4 years in a 1BR. This place is not worth the price. Our bathroom is carpeted, the bathroom fan doesn’t work, and mold/mildew builds up within a week of cleaning. The sealant that they use on the tub constantly peels off and the screws on the drain stop and door hinges in the bathroom are all rusted. There is mold oozing out of every crevice. Not to mention, the water leaves a weird red residue that can only be removed with bleach. And that’s just the bathroom. The carpet lifts, our cable jack in the living room didn’t work so instead of fixing it they drilled a hole through the wall in our closet to snake a wire through to the cable jack in the bedroom. The shelves in the closet aren’t wide enough to hold anything. Every appliance is outdated and doesn’t work that well. We live right behind the front office, and the dust from the exhaust fan behind the office covers our patio, so it’s impossible to use. It is so ridiculous to me that the cost of living has gone up so much that a place like this feels entitled to charge the prices they’re charging for the low quality they offer."
