"Where do I begin? While the facade of the landscaping might draw you in to believe that El Dorado is a happy, clean, and wonderful place to live - don't be deceived. Parking: for residents, mostly one covered assigned spot with carport storage, and one free spot. That said, not every apartment has an assigned carport. And there isn't enough parking for every apartment to have a second car. Guest parking is extremely limited, to what spots are available out front. Don't park there (unless you're related to management...) or else you'll get a sticker on your window. Pool/volleyball court/basketball court/playground: the pool is COLD, usually gross and could use some work. Volleyball courts are full of sand, which is fun for some kids to play in, and for cats to poop in. Basketball court is fine, if you like being on camera the whole time.. they ripped out the playground and replaced it with grass. Recycled the slide into a smaller slide. Swings are two safe bucket seats and two chain-style bucket seats. Older kids that can't fit into the bucket seats no longer have a swing option. And don't think that letting your kids play on the grass is okay. Several tenets got "reprimands" from Richard (management) about their kids playing "too loudly." You know, like after school when they're running around and having fun -- during normal hours. (Unlike his family who had jacuzzi parties at 2 am...) The apartments themselves are unsafe and should be torn down, and built again. There is asbestos in the ceilings! And attic! (The attics are all connected, with the 1st/3rd/5th apartments having an attic space - anyone could go into anyone's apartment at any time.) *Don't let the new remodels (term used loosely) fool you - they are not removing any asbestos. It is still there. The floors, kitchens and window treatments might look nice and updated, but seriously - ask for the asbestos report if you want to protect yourself and your loved ones.* Black mold is in the walls. It is in the bathrooms. Wood used for the second floor apartments all have horrible rot - toilets do not seat well and leak. And when you ask for things to be fixed, Richard's "maintenance" comes and "fixes" it. The front doors can be broken into using a credit card. The windows can be slid open from the outside. Plumbing is horrendous. And the car wash area - be careful - you might be walking in the over flow of poo poo from the building closest to the wash rack. While Richard might not physically be there, his step daughter Vanessa is his up and coming replacement. The maintenance "crew" that lives on site (and are the only ones to leave positive reviews on any apartment rating site) also spy on residents and snitch to Richard about anything they can think about snitching on. And there are undisclosed cameras as well. Ultimately: run. Look up magni management reviews about other properties he "manages". The low price point for the older tenets is what has kept them there, but gentrification is happening. ESPECIALLY after the failed attempt on selling the property. All the improvements made (which were suggested by the Berkadia team, to draw in the "millennial" renter) to the apartments are just a mask over a much scarier picture. Don’t rent from here. Just don’t. You will eventually regret it."
