"Amazingly easy...as a homeowner this is not something I do so having helpful people to guide you through the process was great! Pricing explained and not too bad in my book for the machine we rented for a weekend project! Delivery driver called ahead and gave an approximate delivery time and was early! Driver unloaded and explained machine operation clearly and completely and talked about about Monday morning pickup. Monday came and the driver called ahead and was, again, early. Machine picked up and he thanked me for renting from Rental Max. All in all, I cannot say enough how easy this was and will highly recommend them for equipment the average homeowner may need for a couple of days and can rent with no headaches! Dan Richardson"

"I have been going to A to Z for over 5 years and rented a lot of bigger equipment from them. They were very good to work with, clean equipment, and very responsive, best equipment rental in Dane county. They have now changed ownership to rentalmax a few months ago in spring/summer of 2022 and things are messed up and not as good as they were. They told me they had a smaller bucket for excavator, they did not and said it was due to the new rentalmax system. The excavator was to include a thumb, my machine had the thumb broken but did not offer a discount or give me a choice to get the second machine with the thumb. The hours meter at checkout was off by .9hr lower on the paperwork than on the machine. The fuel tank was not full. The pricing was lower on the website than my paperwork. They charge 12% insurance fee which was not disclosed over the phone as I asked explicitly when renting if there was any insurance needed to be bought at time of rental as I have business insurance that would cover me. The employees were as nice as ever, the ownership change has lead to Nickel and dime the customer by not being truthful. If you go there double check with an email pricing and and look over your paperwork before leaving. They did honor the pricing after questioning it and pushing for about 5 minutes causing this to be a 2 star review. I will start going somewhere else for my rental equipment as there new pricing is too much then for private customers to charge another 12% for insurance without disclosing is not right"

"This place rules. I needed to rent a residential aerator. They had one the day i called. Picked it up, did my lawn in a few hours and had it back the same day. Staff was great and showed me how to run it. Helped unloading (it weighed 250lbs). Not much else to say. Great service, i'll definitely be back."

"Rented a stump grinder. Website was very clear on options And pricing. Rented for 24 hours as I was pretty sure I was going to go over 4 hours. Actual rental was very smooth and Covid safe. Staff was awesome and explained everything. (There’s a excellent video on operation on the website as well). Even tho I rented the smaller of the grinders available it was quality and plenty powerful-and my stumps averaged 3’ at grade. Looked at the clock and realized I was going to get it back at 4 hours even tho I had gone thru 4 stumps (ok 2 of em were a bit aged). Return was also very easy and staff was great. I asked about getting the 4 hour rate with the drop off guy, anticipating I would have to go to the inside counter and haggle. He said nope, I’ll just note it in the return papers you don’t need to go in. Got home, checked emailed receipt and had received the 4 hour rate. My rental experience couldn’t have been more painless. A nice bunch of very professional people start to finish. Highly recommend."
