"between Federal Government Housing known as HUD and the Volunteers of America Managers & staff is an okay building with okay architecture & okay apartments... nothing really wonderful or outstanding & lots that's unnecessarily tedious, difficult, and generally unsatisfying - especially for newer residents... live-in managers seem to be confused about live-in caregivers so just because one manager says you're caregiver is acceptable & compliant...for whatever reasons another manager can come along & strip away your right to choose your own family member as your live-in caregiver whether they've met that person, interviewed the person OR NOT. Communication is uneven and unpredictable...just as senior food distribution/Grey Bears is also uneven & unpredictable... Unfortunately for local 'Santa Cruz-type' people looking for that Santa Cruz vibe of open minded & liberal neighbors just living their best lives WELL YOU MIGHT BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND THAT AT EAST SIDE VILLAGE APARTMENTS... that residents are unable to freely use the facilities, unable to freely post items on boards and cannot even enjoy the personal freedom of choosing our own Cable TV provider really says a lot, if you like having your rights upheld you might be in for a bumpy ride & might prefer another less bureaucratic place to call home."

"I been working here at east cliff village apartments volunteers of America for 3 years it has been a sxperiance of a life time I've met alot of seniors. From all walks of life and have made some good friends who I consider to be family .but there is a few people who work here who don't have any business being here other then to cause kayos"
