"I recently had an unfortunate experience during my stay at City View, and I feel compelled to share my concerns with others considering this property. While the location initially seemed promising, my experience with the management and subsequent issues left me deeply dissatisfied. Firstly, one of the major frustrations I encountered was the difficulty in reaching the management when I needed assistance or had concerns about my move out fees. Responses to emails or phone calls were often delayed or completely ignored. This lack of communication made it incredibly challenging to address any issues just as similar to other reviews mentioning this during their tenancy. What further exacerbated my dissatisfaction was the unjust fees I was charged upon moving out. The apartment complex insisted on making me pay for normal wear and tear of paint and carpets, despite California law clearly stating that tenants are not required to bear these costs if they have been residing in the apartment for two or more years. This practice raises serious concerns about the complex's adherence to legal guidelines and fairness towards tenants. Especially after being told that I would get my deposit back when I had my final walk through. Additionally, the constant presence of police and the dubious towing practices were alarming. It seemed as though the apartment complex had a close working relationship with a towing company, leading to numerous unwarranted car removals. Even vehicles with valid parking passes were not spared, which caused undue inconvenience and financial burden to the residents. They were so quick to tow these cars yet so slow to keep people from breaking into them. Furthermore, I experienced ongoing harassment from neighbors and their guests during my stay. Despite bringing the matter to the attention of the management, no effective action was taken to address the issue. This lack of support in ensuring a safe and peaceful living environment was deeply disappointing and significantly impacted my overall experience at the complex. I strongly believe that it is important for potential tenants to be aware of these issues before making a decision. The management's unresponsiveness, unfair fee practices, constant police presence, and lack of action against harassment create a less than desirable living situation. In conclusion, my time at City View was marred by frustrating encounters with the management, unfair fees, security concerns, and a lack of resolution for harassment issues. I hope that my review serves as a cautionary tale for those considering this apartment complex."

"One star is far to high for this place. In the three plus years I lived here a man was murdered, my wife's car was broken into many times and then stolen. There were multiple police raids of appartments. Not to mention more than 50 times a year people would shoot off mortar fireworks at the pool right next to multiple buildings. What did management do about any of this? Nothing. The leasing office is also impossible to reach. They will not answer the door nor will they answer phone calls. But when my wife and I decided to finally move out management tried to make us pay lease termination fee along with still being rent responsible. Management forgot to mention that when we moved out squatters moved in. So they tried to illegally make us rent responsible. Then when we payed the termination fee they harassed me about paying it again. Two weeks after the payment processed they demanded another payment. So either they are too incompetent to check their own work or they are so crooked that they try to gouge money from people. NEVER RENT HERE."

"The security they say they have is a joke, college students get a discount and are having parties during the week not caring neighbors have work in the morning. Complex lighting that should be working for safety are always broken, so we walk around in the dark. Cars are always getting broken into and being left on bricks. So on top of paying high rent, make sure you. An afford to fix and replace parts of your car. The photo is from a car parked inside the complex, this is the 6th car in three weeks. They have the worst customer service, they seem to never be in or they never call back. I've called their financial office to talk about my rent and two weeks later I've still haven't gotten a call back. They are almost never in the office, if they are they leave the blinds closed and lights off so it looks as if no one is in. Paying online sucks the website has taken the option for me to pay my rent and now I have to wait to see if anything gets fixed or if I will ever get a call back. To the picture attached this is on one of 12 that have been left on bricks."

"TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! After paying my deposit and being approved for my apartment I was later told that the apartment THEY put on the market was not able to be rented out… keep in mind I’ve gone through the whole process of filling out my lease paying my deposit and everything. I was then told my original price could not be honored even though they were at fault for the apartment no longer being able to be rented out. In order to get a hold of someone they give you a run around , all in all I do NOT recommend moving here!!!"
